Robert De Niro's Older Kids Await Introduction to His and Girlfriend Tiffany Chen's Newborn Daughter

Robert De Niro, 79, recently shared that his newborn daughter Gia Virginia has not yet met her six siblings. The acclaimed actor, known for his role in Taxi Driver, expressed his belief that they will eventually meet. De Niro also mentioned that he intends to celebrate Father's Day with his children, although he did not provide specific details about who would be present on the occasion.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, De Niro shared the news that he had welcomed another child, surprising many who were previously aware of his six children. Correcting the interviewer, the actor clarified that he now has a total of seven children, as he had just become a father again. De Niro's previous children include daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, from his marriage to Diahnne Abbott. He also has twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with ex Toukie Smith, as well as son Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen, 11, from his marriage to Grace Hightower. De Niro and his current partner, Chen, have been dating since the summer of 2021.

De Niro further emphasized that Chen's pregnancy was not a surprise but rather a deliberately planned event. In an interview with Page Six on May 9, he expressed his disbelief at the notion of an unplanned pregnancy, stating, "How could you not plan something like that?"

During an episode of CBS Mornings on May 11, De Niro disclosed the name of his daughter. As host Gayle King reminisced, the newborn weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces upon her arrival on April 6. De Niro and Chen expressed their overwhelming joy and excitement for their precious baby girl.

The couple made their first public appearance since the birth of their daughter, Gia Virginia, at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 20. They were seen holding hands on the red carpet, with De Niro dressed in a sleek navy suit and tie, complemented by a white dress shirt. Chen looked stunning in a black sequin dress, paired with black heels and sunglasses.

During the premiere of the documentary Kiss The Future at the Tribeca Film Festival, which was co-founded by De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2001, the Oscar winner and Chen made an appearance. De Niro opted for an all-black outfit, while Chen complemented her black dress with a tan cardigan, blush pink purse, nude heels, and sunglasses. Reflecting on his experience as an older dad in Hollywood, De Niro expressed his acceptance of the label during an interview with Extra on May 9, stating, "I'm good with it," at the New York premiere of About My Father.

Al Pacino, De Niro's costar in The Irishman, has also become a parent at an older age. On June 15, it was confirmed that he had welcomed a baby boy with his girlfriend, Noor Alfallah. During an appearance on Today on June 1, De Niro expressed his happiness for Pacino, stating, "Listen, Al Pacino just had a baby. I was told yesterday morning, and he's a few years older than me. God bless him, very happy for him."
