Shannon Beador, star of The Real Housewives of Orange County, is facing a lawsuit from her ex-boyfriend John Janssen. He claims that she borrowed $75,000 from him for a facelift but failed to repay him. Janssen, 61, filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, March 20, alleging breach of oral contract and promissory fraud. The court documents, obtained by People, reveal the details of the legal action.

Janssen claimed that Beador asked him for the money in 2022, according to People. He sent her $40,000 via wire transfer in January of that year, which was allegedly used for the plastic surgery procedure. People reported that he also paid her a secondary $35,000 in May 2023, given by personal check. Janssen claimed in the court docs that Beador has failed to return the money even though she agreed to pay him back with interest.

"Ms. Beador’s defense that Mr. Janssen paid her the $75,000 as a ‘gift’ is completely meritless, which their emails and text messages will show," said Edson K. McClellan, Rutan & Tucker LLP, in a statement on Friday, March 22. "Mr. Janssen is saddened that Ms. Beador’s unwillingness to repay the loans made it necessary to file this lawsuit."

He is requesting the full $75,000, along with accrued interest, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees, as stated in the People report. We have contacted Beador for her comment. Beador and Janssen began dating in 2019 and were in a relationship for almost four years. Unfortunately, they decided to end their relationship in January 2023. Beador shared the news of their breakup with People, expressing that she was caught off guard by the sudden split.

During filming, everything seemed perfect. But a week later, when the cameras were off, everything changed. He ended the relationship, and it was heartbreaking to hear those words.

In June, Beador shared that she and Janssen remained on good terms, even after the breakup.
