Shannon Beador and her ex-husband David Beador have experienced a tumultuous relationship, both during their marriage and after their divorce. They were married in 2000 and had three daughters together: Sophie in 2002, and twins Stella and Adeline in 2004. Shannon became a cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County in season 9, which aired in 2014, and viewers witnessed the aftermath of David's infidelity on the Bravo series.
Shannon, a former cast member of Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, faced a challenging situation in 2015 during season 10 when she found out about her spouse's long-term infidelity. Despite the turmoil, the couple decided to seek counseling instead of going their separate ways. Shannon's unwavering commitment to her family was evident when she shared on the show, "I will do whatever it takes to keep my family together. Divorce has never been an option for me."
The couple attempted to salvage their relationship following the infidelity controversy by renewing their marriage vows in 2016. However, their reconciliation was short-lived as they declared their separation in October 2017. Shannon explained in a statement to BravoTV.com that they had made the difficult decision to separate after much contemplation. Despite the split, they are dedicated to co-parenting their three daughters and request privacy during this time of transition.
The Bravolebrity disclosed during the RHOC season 12 reunion, a month later, that it was David who had decided to end their marriage. She expressed her disappointment and revealed how difficult it has been for her. The couple had gone on a trip to Hawaii in hopes of reconciling, but David left early. Upon her return home, he informed her that their marriage was over.
Their split wasn't officially finalized until April 2019, and according to a source, Shannon was eager to put it behind her. This came after David filed a request to restrict her from consuming alcohol eight hours before or during her time with their children, leading to speculation that he was trying to delay the process and avoid paying her. Since then, Shannon's ex-husband has moved on with actress Lesley Beador, whom he married in October 2020. However, the couple's own relationship ended in divorce in September 2022, just months after they welcomed their daughter Anna Love.

David requested in December that Shannon be prohibited from drinking alcohol eight hours before or during her time with their daughters amidst their controversial divorce proceedings.
According to court documents obtained by Us, the mother admitted to self-medicating with alcohol on television within the last month, which has been deemed harmful to the children. In response, Shannon filed her own document claiming that the petitioner was motivated by anger and a desire to hurt and embarrass her, and that his actions were meant to gain media attention and exert control.
The reality TV personality was ultimately not barred from consuming alcohol around her children.

In August, Shannon filed an emergency court order accusing her ex-husband of preventing their daughters from appearing on RHOC due to his fear that they might speak negatively about their stepmother, leading to yet another legal dispute between the former couple.
David responded with his own set of court documents, expressing his desire to protect his new family from being exposed to a reality television show. He found it troubling that the proposed limitations were not acceptable to Shannon and her counsel, especially considering they both have joint legal custody. David was also concerned that Shannon's refusal to accept the narrowly tailored limitations indicated her intention to reference him, his new wife, and their daughter during filming of the 16th season of the show.
