Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson, stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County, are providing support to Shannon Beador following her DUI arrest. Prior to BravoCon on November 4, Gina had exchanged text messages with Shannon, while Emily expressed her concern about the situation. Gina took the opportunity to speak with Shannon privately before their panel to assure her that her intention was not to exacerbate the situation.
Gina and Shannon have had their fair share of highs and lows, but Gina expressed her unwillingness to regress in their relationship at the three-day fan convention in Las Vegas.
"I don't want to contribute to any negativity," Gina explained. "She has already caused enough trouble for herself, so... [I told her], 'I'm here to support you and avoid any conflicts.' Saying that made me feel relieved."

Gina mentioned that she believes Shannon was open to her message, stating that they have been treating each other with kindness and avoiding deep discussions. While they may eventually address how everything unfolded, currently they prioritize maintaining their amicable behavior.
In September, Shannon was arrested for suspected DUI, as she drove her car onto a residential property in Newport Beach, California. The Orange County District Attorney later charged her with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and a second count of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level exceeding .08 percent. (Reportedly, Shannon had a blood alcohol level of .24 percent at the time of her booking.)
Earlier this month, Shannon received a three-year sentence of informal probation. Alongside this, she is required to pay a range of fines, fulfill 40 hours of community service, and successfully complete a nine-month alcohol program.
Shannon Beador's return for season 18 of RHOC is uncertain, however, Gina and Emily, both 47, simply wish for Shannon to choose the option that promotes her overall well-being.
"I believe it is important for her to prioritize her own well-being," Emily shared with Us during their conversation on Saturday. "To be honest, if Shannon wasn't involved in filming, it's hard to say if it would make her situation worse. She might feel like she has lost something, you know? What I think she should do is determine what is best for her and find a way to move forward and prioritize her health. So, whichever path she chooses, I fully support her."
On the other hand, Gina remains optimistic that Shannon will not hesitate to openly discuss her challenges when the show comes back. "Everything is already out there, so hopefully she can let her guard down," Gina expressed to Us. "She had a lot to protect, but now that it has all been exposed, maybe it will be a relief for her to be authentically herself again. This could turn out to be a positive thing."
Gina, who has been candid about her personal challenges with alcohol, believes Shannon's story could be beneficial for viewers. "In my own experience, many people have expressed admiration for my journey," Gina explained. "It has inspired them to improve their own lives. Shannon has the chance to be that person as well."
Bravo has not yet revealed any casting choices for season 18 of RHOC. Season 17 featured Tamra Judge, Jennifer Pedranti, Heather Dubrow, and Taylor Armstrong.
