Prince William was seen at a local pub in North Norfolk over the weekend with his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton. According to Richard Eden, the Palace Confidential broadcaster for Mail Plus, Carole Middleton had been staying with the Prince and Princess of Wales for Easter. Princess Kate Middleton was not present during the outing.
Eden was told by a patron that it was a quiet visit, with no big celebration. The person just walked through the pub and seemed to be with Carole Middleton.
Kate, 42, missed out on a low-key outing with her mom and husband, William, 41. She also didn't attend the Easter church service with other royal family members. Instead, the couple spent the holiday in private with their three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
Concerns about Kate's health arose after she had abdominal surgery in January, shortly after her last public royal event. In March, Kate revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
In a video message posted on social media, Kate explained that initially, her condition was believed to be noncancerous. However, tests conducted after the surgery showed the presence of cancer. As a result, her medical team recommended a course of preventative chemotherapy, which she has started in the early stages.
Kate mentioned that she was greatly surprised by the news. She shared that both she and William have been dealing with it privately to protect their young family.
She expressed that having William with her has been a huge source of comfort and reassurance. Kate also appreciated the love, support, and kindness shown by many people, which has meant a lot to both of them.
Kate found out about her diagnosis in February. However, a source shared exclusively with We in March that she and William decided to wait until the Easter break when their children were off school to share the news. This way, they could have some time to process it before it became public knowledge.
William, who married Kate in April 2011, has been very supportive. According to a second insider, he is doing his best to be there for Kate and help in any way he can. He has been helping the kids with their schoolwork and spending time with them in the afternoons and evenings.
Editor's P/S:
The article provides an intimate glimpse into the private lives of Prince William and Kate Middleton during a challenging time for the couple. Despite Kate's recent cancer diagnosis, she and William appear to be maintaining a low-key routine, focusing on their children and each other for support. William's unwavering presence and dedication to both Kate and their family highlight the strength of their bond and the resilience they have shown in the face of adversity.
While Kate's absence from public events is understandable given her health condition, her decision to prioritize her family's privacy is a testament to her commitment to protecting their well-being. The couple's decision to postpone announcing Kate's diagnosis until the Easter break is an example of their efforts to shield their children from unnecessary stress and provide them with a sense of stability during this difficult time.
