Discover the future of the royal family with our guide to the next generation Meet the adorable Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, along with their cousins and new additions to the family Learn all about their names, birth dates, and special moments

The British royal family continues to expand, and each new addition contributes to the lasting legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. Prior to her passing at the age of 96 in September 2022, the beloved monarch had already welcomed eight grandchildren into the world, including Prince William and Prince Harry. However, it is her great-grandchildren who continue to capture our hearts and fascinate us to this day.

In December 2010, Elizabeth welcomed her first great-grandchild, Savannah Anne Kathleen, who was born to her daughter Anne's son, Peter Phillips, and his former wife, Autumn. The family grew even larger in March 2012 with the addition of Isla Elizabeth, Savannah's younger sister. However, it was Prince George's arrival in July 2013 that captured the world's attention. As the firstborn son of Prince William and his wife Kate, George immediately became third in line for the throne, and later moved up to second when his grandfather King Charles III took the throne in 2022. In fact, George had the honor of serving as one of four Pages of Honor at Charles' coronation in May 2023.

Upon the arrival of Mia, the children's group of lifelong companions grew to include many new cousins. Mia, daughter of Zara Tindall (née Phillips) and her husband, Mike Tindall, was born in January 2014.

In May 2015, George's younger sister, Princess Charlotte, was born, followed by their brother Prince Louis in April 2018. In terms of the royal line of succession, all three of William and Kate's children rank ahead of Harry. A source revealed to us exclusively one month after Louis' birth that Charlotte had established a strong bond with her siblings.

In May 2018, an insider revealed that the younger brother has been a great source of joy for her and she takes her role as a big sister very seriously. She can often be found by baby Louis' side, enjoying their time together. As time has passed, the siblings' bond has only grown stronger, and with the addition of new relatives, their playdates have become even more exciting.

Lena, the second daughter of Zara and Mike, was born in June 2018, just two months after Louis. The arrival of Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie, in May 2019 gave William and Kate's children a new cousin to play with. The family welcomed three more babies in 2021, starting with Princess Eugenie's first child, son August, in February, followed by the debut of Zara and Mike's son, Lucas, in May.

In June 2021, Harry and Meghan welcomed their daughter, Lilbet “Lili” Diana, into the world. Her first name pays homage to her great-grandmother Elizabeth, while her middle name is a touching tribute to Harry and William’s beloved mother, Princess Diana. Later in September 2021, Princess Beatrice, eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, also became a parent with the birth of her daughter Sienna.
