Morgan Wallen was seen chatting with a woman at Eric Church's Nashville bar just before his arrest. In recently released photos by TMZ on April 10, the 30-year-old country singer was captured in conversation with a brunette on the Chief's rooftop. Wallen was wearing the same blue polo shirt from his mugshot while standing next to the woman, who was dressed in a black miniskirt and off-the-shoulder white top.
A second photo captured Wallen standing close to where he allegedly grabbed the chair that was thrown. The picture was taken at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, just minutes before the chair landed on the sidewalk below, as reported by TMZ.
On Monday, April 8, it was confirmed that Wallen was arrested after a video of him sitting in a police car outside Church’s bar went viral. He is facing charges of three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Wallen's bond was set at $15,250, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 3.
Metro Nashville PD has confirmed that officers were present outside the bar when a chair fell from six stories above, hitting the ground nearby. They were later shown a video of Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” according to the arrest report.
Wallen’s lawyer, Worrick Robinson, confirmed the singer’s arrest in a statement to Us, mentioning that Wallen is “cooperating fully with authorities.”

Following Wallen’s arrest, his ex-fiancée, KT Smith, clarified that she was not involved in his behavior. Just before the incident, Smith shared on Instagram that she had married Luke Scornavacco after a quick engagement on April 4.
In a statement to The Daily Beast on Monday, Smith, who has a 3-year-old son named Indigo with Wallen, mentioned, “I don’t think the timing of the incident and my marriage announcement are related. I hope Morgan gets back on track and this was just a mistake.” She also added, “I can’t speak for Morgan, but I wish him all the best.”
Smith and Wallen were in a relationship from 2017 to 2019 and their son was born in 2020. Just before their son, Indigo, was born, Wallen got arrested in Nashville for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. However, the charges were later dropped by prosecutors. After becoming a father, Wallen described himself as a "changed man".
In an Instagram post, Wallen expressed how becoming a father has changed his perspective on life. He mentioned that despite facing many challenges in the past year, the birth of his son has been a significant and positive turning point for him.
Editor's P/S:
The recent arrest of Morgan Wallen for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct has cast a shadow over his promising music career. While it remains to be seen how this incident will ultimately impact his trajectory, it is clear that Wallen has some serious issues to address. His alleged behavior is not only dangerous but also indicative of a pattern of reckless and irresponsible actions. Wallen has a history of arrests for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, and his latest transgression suggests that he has not yet learned from his past mistakes.
It is particularly concerning that Wallen's arrest occurred just days after his ex-fiancée, KT Smith, announced her marriage to another man. While Smith has stated that she does not believe the timing of the incident and her marriage announcement are related, it is difficult to ignore the coincidence. It is possible that Wallen's arrest was a result of his emotional distress over Smith's marriage, but it is also possible that his behavior is simply indicative of his ongoing struggles with substance abuse and personal demons. Whatever the case may be, it is clear that Wallen needs to make some changes in his life if he wants to avoid further legal troubles and derailment of his career.
