Morgan Wallen celebrated the first anniversary of his album by taking inspiration from The Beatles.

The 30-year-old singer released the Abbey Road Sessions project on Sunday, March 3rd. This marked one year since the release of his highly successful album, One Thing at a Time, which topped the Billboard charts for 18 non-consecutive weeks.

Wallen released a project on YouTube featuring two unreleased songs - "Lies Lies Lies" and a cover of Nothing But Thieves’ "Graveyard Whistling" - along with five live performances of songs from One Thing at a Time: "Thinkin’ Bout Me," "Sunrise," "Everything I love," "I Wrote the Book," and "I Deserve a Drink."

In a press release, Wallen expressed his excitement about playing at the O2 in London and recording at the legendary Abbey Road. He mentioned that the experience was unforgettable for him and his band, stating, “We will never forget it.” Wallen also shared his enthusiasm for releasing the Abbey Road Sessions to his fans on the one-year anniversary of One Thing at a Time, acknowledging that his fans make it all possible.

One Thing at a Time is currently tied with Garth Brooks' Ropin' the Wind for the most weeks at No. 1 for a country album. However, it has the potential to surpass this record soon. As of March 4, it is currently at No. 3 on the charts, trailing behind Yeat's 2093 and Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Vultures 1.

In January, Morgan Wallen addressed the leak of an alleged new song on the Internet. He explained that he took a break from a duck hunting trip to set the record straight. Back in 2014, Wallen went to Florida to explore his passion for creating original music and songwriting for the first time. This decision eventually led to signing a recording deal with a local investor and an artist management deal, both of which he now regrets signing without legal representation.

During that time, Wallen made 13 songs without any creative control. He mentioned that while some songs were "ok", most of them were terrible. Only five tracks from that period ended up making it to his debut EP, Stand Alone.

"Tonight, some former colleagues I parted ways with almost 10 years ago are planning to release a '10th anniversary' edition of Stand Alone without my approval. They want to include eight unreleased songs and are working with my previous managers to distribute them," he explained. Wallen shared that he has been trying everything possible to gain the rights to this old music in order to prevent the songs from being released. He wants to ensure that the quality of his catalog remains consistent with the songs he chooses to release and believes in.

Morgan responded to the accusations by releasing a new song called “Spin You Around (1/24).” Additionally, he committed to donating $100k to the Morgan Wallen Foundation to support the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts (VLPA) program. This initiative aims to help emerging artists avoid the same pitfalls that he faced.
