Patrick, 28, shared with SportsCenter on Saturday, March 16, his excitement about CPKC Stadium, the first stadium built specifically for a professional women's sports team. He mentioned feeling a similar vibe to Arrowhead Stadium and expressed anticipation for a historic day and a promising start.
Patrick and Brittany, both 28 years old, are co-owners of a professional soccer team that Brittany co-founded with Chris and Angie Long.
The Kansas City Chiefs player expressed his desire to give back and support women's sports by providing a platform for talented athletes, including his own daughter. Before the game, the couple, who got married in March 2022 and have two kids, went onto the field to thank everyone for their support at the team and stadium.
"Hey Kansas City! We made it," Brittany said to the crowd. "I just want to thank you all for being here today. This is a historic moment, absolutely amazing. Your support for these women at their own stadium is truly incredible."
Patrick then led the audience in the classic "KC Baby" chant.
During the game, Brittany posted many pictures and videos on her Instagram Stories, showing their fun time at the Missouri venue. One adorable photo captured her and Patrick hugging and supporting the team from their seats.
