The Straw Hats, empathizing with his sentiments, gifted him with a large flag featuring their Jolly Roger. The previous episode served as a transitional episode that detailed the Straw Hats' experiences in Wano and their interactions with important characters in the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance's victory over Big Mom and Kaido. For instance, Luffy visited the location where Kaido had been defeated, along with the Nine Red Scabbards, and they shared memories of Oden and those who perished during Kaido's dictatorship. In appreciation for freeing Wano from Kaido's reign, they all showed their gratitude by bowing to Luffy, although he insisted they cease, acknowledging that they were all friends. Carrot, now entrusted with safeguarding Mokomo Dukedom, bid the Straw Hats farewell.

The highlight of the episode was when Zoro visited Yasui and Pedro’s grave to pay his respects with a drink of sake. Hiyori and Toko joined him, and despite Hiyori's sadness over parting with her father's Enma, Zoro firmly refused to return it. The episode ended with the rest of the Straw Hats getting ready to leave and all of them returning to their ship, prepared to set sail.
