Wano has finally found its new guardian deity heading into One Piece episode 1083 (Image via Toei Animation)

One Piece Episode 1082 commenced with Momonosuke, Yamato, and the Akazaya Nine persistently battling against Ryokugyu. Despite their relentless attacks, Ryokugyu's Devil Fruit bestowed him with the ability to regenerate continuously, even when subjected to burning. Though Yamato's endeavors seemed influential, Momonosuke advised against intervening as they intended to depart from Wano.

The new Shogun of the country successfully copied Kaido's powerful Blast Breath and unleashed it upon Ryokugyu. Simultaneously, Kozuki Sukiyaki guided Robin and Law to the location of Wano's Road Poneglyph. Astonishingly, they were presented with a sight of an entire city submerged beneath the water, identified as the ancient civilization of Wano.

The city succumbed to flooding caused by the enclosing walls of Wano, causing rainwater to gather. Sukiyaki disclosed that Pluton remained within the ancient city and could only be reached if Wano's borders were reopened, which was perplexing considering Oden's desire for the same.

Returning to the Ryokugyu battle, it was unveiled that Momonosuke's Blast Breath proved insufficient to bring the fight to an end.

Shanks, who emerged off the coast of Wano, criticized Ryokugyu for targeting the newly renowned pirates of the new era. Using his Conqueror's Haki, he compelled Ryokugyu to withdraw. The episode concluded with the revelation that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe were ready to step in, as Luffy acknowledged Shanks' impressive Haki.

What to expect (speculative)

Once Ryokugyu is taken care of, the upcoming episode of One Piece, Episode 1083, will shift its attention towards the future plans of the Straw Hats after successfully handling all the challenges in Wano.

Moreover, viewers can anticipate the group deliberating on their next destination, driven by any potential leads that may guide them to the elusive fourth and last Road Poneglyph.

One Piece Episode 1083 is expected to reveal the crew's new member. Although Yamato has expressed their intention to join, the anime has not confirmed it yet. Similarly, fans have shown interest in Carrot joining the crew, but it remains uncertain if she will officially become a Straw Hat.

Make sure to keep up with all One Piece anime, manga, film, and live-action news as 2023 progresses.

Editor's P/S

As a passionate One Piece fan, I am eagerly anticipating the release of Episode 1083. The previous episode left us with a thrilling cliffhanger, as Shanks made a surprise appearance and used his Conqueror's Haki to force Ryokugyu to retreat. I can't wait to see what happens next and how the Straw Hats will react to Shanks' intervention.

I am also curious to learn more about the ancient civilization of Wano that was shown in the previous episode. It seems that there is still a lot of history and lore to be explored in Wano, and I am excited to see what the Straw Hats will discover as they continue their journey.

Overall, I am very excited for One Piece Episode 1083 and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Straw Hats.
