Episode 1080 recap
The 1080th episode of One Piece commenced with Nico Robin stumbling upon Tenguyama Hitetsu inside a chamber within Wano's castle. It was later disclosed that Hitetsu was, in fact, Kozuki Sukiyaki, the previous Shogun of the Land of Wano and Oden's father. He expressed his remorse for allowing Orochi to amass power but chose to live as a recluse to seek redemption. Robin then inquired about the whereabouts of Pluton, to which Hitetsu confirmed its presence in Wano.
Admiral Ryokugyu arrived on Wano at the Udon prison, engaging in a battle against the Queen and King of the Beast Pirates upon them recognizing him. With limited time, he utilized his Devil Fruit powers to swiftly drain their energy, indicating his main objective of capturing Luffy to gain Akainu's approval and acknowledgement.
In a flashback, Luffy urged Momonosuke to keep his identity a secret from the people of Wano due to the immense significance of his return and the need for him to be regarded as their hero. Returning to the present, Kid confronts Luffy in anger, revealing his newly acquired bounty of 3 billion Beri and his status as an official member of the Yonko, alongside his long-time frenemy Buggy the Clown.
