Southern Charm star Olivia Flowers is navigating her new normal after her brother, Connor Flowers, died at the age of 32.
Olivia, 31, shared with Nick Viall on the November 30 episode of his "Viall Files" podcast that her healing journey has been slow and unpredictable. She mentioned feeling lucky to have the support of close friends and family, and described this year's Thanksgiving as a different experience, but one they made the best of. Olivia also anticipated that the full impact of Connor's loss will become more pronounced once things calm down.
In February, the Bravo star and her family tragically confirmed the sudden death of 32-year-old Connor, who had overdosed on fentanyl. According to Olivia, Connor had been using pain pills to manage his chronic Lyme disease symptoms. "We're now just trying to navigate this new reality. There has been an overwhelming amount of support and people sharing their own stories of loss, which provides a bittersweet sense of solace in connecting with others," she shared on Thursday. "But, it's also been uplifting, and we're just working on adjusting to this new reality."

Olivia continued to ponder Connor's legacy while appearing on the podcast.
"It's therapeutic to share memories of someone and keep their spirit alive," she expressed. "The best way to do that is by talking about them. ... I miss being the youngest and getting away with things, but what I miss the most is his kindness. He had the kindest heart, and everyone recognized that. I've always been referred to as Connor's little sister."
Olivia has found it challenging to cope with her brother's death, but watching her parents grieve has been even harder. Despite their efforts to stay strong for her, she feels the need to remind them that she can be there for them. As the youngest in the family, this is a new dynamic for her parents to adjust to. She hopes to keep her brother's memory alive by talking about him and preserving his presence in the family.

Olivia expressed, "We all handle things differently. For example, my mom always wants to be in his room when she comes home, and my dad struggles to look at pictures. Everyone copes in their own way, so it's important to be patient with each other."
Initially, Olivia and her parents were hesitant to publicly discuss the events leading to Connor's passing. As time has passed, Olivia has become more open to sharing his story. She revealed that Connor battled Lyme disease for "most of his adult life," and believed that his addiction issues began when he turned to medication to cope with the pain.
