Nick Viall and his fiancée, Natalie Joy, are opening up about their postpartum sex life.

Joy, 25, admitted during the April 18 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast that they never discussed how challenging it would be to have sex after having a baby.

It can be challenging to find time for intimacy when you have a newborn baby to take care of. Joy gave birth to their daughter, River Rose, in February.

Nick, who is 43 years old, shared that it's tough to schedule alone time with his wife amidst caring for their little one. He mentioned that their baby is always with them, and they also have Joy's mom living with them. This makes it awkward to sneak away for private moments together, as they haven't quite reached that level of comfort with her mom yet.

He continued, "The spirit is there, but logistically we haven’t quite cracked that code."

Joy emphasized that they conceived River "with [her] mom" in town. She further pointed out that having sex after having a baby likely isn't the same as it was before.

Joy shared that Scott Disick mentioned that after having son Mason, having sex with Kourtney Kardashian felt familiar yet different because the furniture in the living room had been rearranged. Viall found this comment interesting.

Viall initially misunderstood Joy's metaphor, thinking she was speaking literally. However, the nurse clarified that she was actually referring to changes in a woman's anatomy postpartum.

“I’m talking about the inside of my vagina,” Joy explained. “Has the furniture moved around?”

Viall assured her that the so-called furnishings had “not really” moved to new locations.

Viall emphasized that when he said "not really," he actually meant "no." It wasn't a case of "same but different," but rather he wasn't completely sure and thought, "Just like old times!"

He also mentioned that immediately after Joy gave birth, her gynecologist praised her for having a "great pelvic floor."

After River was born, the doctor congratulated the father by high-fiving him. The father was confused at first, but the doctor explained that he was a lucky man and gave him a fist bump.

While the couple hasn't been ready to get back in bed together, they do like spending time alone in a hot tub in their backyard. Nick playfully calls it "the sex tub."

Joy jokingly mentioned, "Whenever Nick suggests hot tubbing, I'll say, 'I don't feel like hot tubbing, but I'm up for some fun.'"
