Nick Viall, who previously starred in The Bachelor, is expecting his first child with Natalie Joy. The couple expressed their excitement, sharing maternity photos and a sonogram on Instagram, stating that their biggest dream has finally come true.
Viall and Joy announced their relationship in January 2021. The next month, Viall shared the story of how they met in an episode of his podcast, "Viall Files." According to him, Joy initiated contact by sending him a direct message, which he found to be quite romantic. They continued spending time together, and eventually, Joy expressed her desire to date him. Initially unsure, Viall was taken aback when Joy decided to pursue her own interests instead. Her actions made him realize what he could potentially lose.
In November 2021, an exclusive source disclosed to We that Viall was contemplating the advancement of his relationship with Joy.
"The possibility of them becoming the next engaged couple in Bachelor Nation is quite strong," the informant revealed, indicating that a proposal could be imminent.
Viall recently reflected on the valuable lessons about love that Joy has imparted to him almost a year later. In an interview on Us' "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast in October 2022, Viall expressed, "She not only taught me, but also demonstrated how to be fully present." He acknowledged his tendency to be introverted and admitted that throughout his life, he has been accused of being aloof. Viall further explained that this aloofness, combined with his height of 6'2", has led some people to perceive him as dismissive or rude. Consequently, he becomes defensive because he is actually engrossed in his own thoughts. However, he realizes that it is his responsibility to address these weaknesses if he wants to avoid making others feel that way.
He continued by stating that she has highlighted the significance of taking the time to acknowledge and validate others in everyday situations, such as when ordering coffee or checking out at the grocery store. Viall emphasized that these small interactions hold great value, both on a daily basis and particularly within a relationship. After dating for over two years, Viall ultimately proposed to Joy in January.
The couple expressed their lifelong commitment to each other in a joint Instagram post, accompanied by photos from their engagement shoot. Following the announcement, the reality star hinted that he and Joy could be getting married sooner than expected.
“We’re definitely anxious to get married,” Viall told E! News at the time. “We definitely didn’t get engaged to have a long engagement, so it’s been great. It’s exciting.”
