New Honkai Feature Revealed: The Secret of Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail has recently introduced a new chat feature, which was added in secret after its latest update. The game, currently in Version 1.1, offers a range of exciting features such as the Silver Wolf as the current five-star banner character, and a museum management mini-game within the Everwinter City Museum Event, among others.

Before the release of Version 1.1, Honkai: Star Rail organized a special stream to showcase the new features and quality of life updates that were in the pipeline. Among the highly anticipated updates was the in-game Friends Chat, which would allow players to interact with their online friends or leave offline messages. However, the chat feature was delayed to a later date, leaving some fans disappointed when they didn't find it in the latest update.

Following the release of Version 1.1, Honkai: Star Rail players were pleasantly surprised to find that the Friends Chat was already accessible in-game. One player, Sanuicay, even shared a screenshot of the chat UI on the subreddit dedicated to the popular game. Despite the lack of public announcement from HoYoverse on their social media platforms, players quickly discovered that the feature could be accessed by clicking on the lower left icon, allowing them to easily start a conversation with anyone on their friends list.

Excitement for the chat feature was evident in the Reddit comments, with players expressing their eagerness to personally thank fellow players for their support in lending characters like Jing Yuan and Yanqing. However, some players also suggested that HoYoverse should consider adding emotes in the chat, similar to the ones used by the Trailblazer character. While the possibility of emotes being added in a future update remains unconfirmed, it's clear that the introduction of the Friends Chat has been well-received by the Honkai: Star Rail community.

HoYoverse has been quietly implementing updates in Honkai: Star Rail, improving the player experience. For instance, enemies near the Bud of Harmony Calyx have been turned around to prevent players from being ambushed while farming materials. These quality of life updates ensure that players can enjoy a seamless grinding experience while tackling missions and challenges. Version 1.2 is set to arrive in July, and rumors are circulating about new characters and Star Rail Special Pass rewards for weekly logins. However, it's important to keep in mind that HoYoverse may make last-minute changes to these plans.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Mobile and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
