Morgan Wallen and Post Malone have finally released their highly anticipated duet, "I Had Some Help", giving fans exactly what they've been waiting for. The musical collaboration dropped on Friday, May 10, and was accompanied by a music video. Prior to the release, the duo had performed the country song at Stagecoach.

Wallen, 30, and Malone, 28, sing in the chorus, “I had some help. It ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself. Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf.”

Fans have eagerly awaited a collaboration between Wallen and Malone ever since their performance together at the CMA Awards in November 2023.

Malone has been dropping hints about making a switch to country music after revealing his plan to release a double album of country music back in April 2021.

In a statement, he expressed his desire to create music that appeals to a wide audience. He mentioned that country music fans, folk music enthusiasts, and even pop music lovers will find something to enjoy in his upcoming project.

The musician expressed his desire to explore various styles of music, mentioning on The Howard Stern Show in June 2022 that he didn't want to be limited to just one genre. He mentioned the possibility of recording a country album in his Utah studio and sharing it on YouTube, emphasizing that as a human being, he had the freedom to do so.

Malone further explained that he divides his time among different responsibilities. He mentioned that he enjoys performing concerts for his fans, creating music and beats on his own, and taking care of his family. Balancing these commitments requires a lot of time and effort, but he is content with the obligations. He hinted at the possibility of creating a country album if he has more time to himself in the future.

After performing at the CMAs, Malone excitedly shared his experience with Access Hollywood, saying, "I had so much fun, even though I was a bit nervous. It was an amazing experience."

In the same month, Malone gave his fans an update on his upcoming releases during a Twitch stream, mentioning, "I have a country album in the works. I can't stop singing a song we created in Nashville, it's amazing but not out yet. We made some incredible music in Nashville, it was so much fun."

While fans eagerly await Malone's full album, he has been enjoying collaborating with other artists like Taylor Swift on the track "Fortnight" from The Tortured Poets Department.

Swift, 34, shared with Amazon Music recently that "‘Fortnight’ is a song that showcases many of the recurring themes found throughout this album. One of these themes is fatalism - yearning, longing, and shattered dreams. This album is quite fatalistic, with many dramatic lines about life and death. Lines like 'I love you, it's ruining my life' are very exaggerated and intense. It's that kind of album."

He also appeared on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter on the song “Levii’s Jeans.”
