Prince William and Princess Kate turned the final day of the Wimbledon tennis championship into a meaningful family outing, accompanied by their two oldest children.
On Sunday, July 16, the 41-year-old Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to witness the men's singles final. Kate looked stunning in yet another green dress, perfectly matching the color of the court. Meanwhile, William chose a gray blazer and black trousers for the occasion. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, not only interacted with the athletes, but also had their children, 9-year-old Prince George and 8-year-old Princess Charlotte, by their side, alongside the Wimbledon ball boys and girls. (Their 5-year-old son, Prince Louis, was unfortunately unable to attend the sports championship.)
George and Charlotte, on the other hand, opted for a matching blue ensemble. The young prince showcased his style in a navy suit complemented by a coordinating tie, while his younger sister looked absolutely delightful in a charming blue-and-white sundress paired with clean white ballet flats. This visit to Wimbledon was particularly significant as it marked Charlotte's debut at the event, while George has attended once before. It is worth mentioning that William and Kate had previously accompanied their eldest child to the July 2022 tournament, specifically for the thrilling men's final clash between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios.
The Duchess of Cornwall, who is the royal patron of Wimbledon, graced the tournament with her presence on several occasions earlier this month. On Saturday, July 15th, she turned heads in a stunning Self-Portrait outfit that matched the tennis balls perfectly during the women's final. Additionally, she had the honor of presenting Markéta Vondroušová with the highly sought-after trophy following her victorious performance. It is anticipated that she will carry out the same duty when the men's competition concludes on Sunday.
Kate made her 2023 Wimbledon debut on July 4, joining tennis icon Roger Federer in the Royal Box to watch the matches.

"[Wimbledon] serves as a source of inspiration for young individuals, including myself. Every time Wimbledon is broadcasted, I am filled with the belief that I too can excel in the sport and pick up my racket," she expressed enthusiastically about the prestigious tournament in the BBC One documentary Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon, which aired in June 2017. "Sadly, the outcome hasn't been quite the same."
Although Kate has demonstrated her passion for tennis, she and William have also introduced both George and Charlotte to various other professional sports events in England, such as soccer, rugby, and cricket. However, the couple is not imposing any specific team loyalties on their children at this point.

"The selection of [George's] favorite team is his own decision. It's important for him to find what resonates with him," expressed the Duke of Cambridge during his appearance on the "That Peter Crouch Podcast" in July 2020. He further stated, "The values and principles upheld by the [Aston Villa soccer] club align well with my ideals. I desire them to prioritize the well-being of their players and set a positive example for young fans. I hope that when our children attend a match, they leave with a genuine admiration for what they've witnessed, while deriving joy from the experience and witnessing their role models conduct themselves in a manner we all aspire to."
