Players of Honkai: Star Rail are presented with the challenge of completing the first fifteen stages of the Forgotten Hall before they can take on the bi-weekly rotation of the Memory of Chaos. As the stages progress, the difficulty level increases, and the recommended approach is to wait until reaching the required Trailblazer level to fight the enemies on an even footing.
Nevertheless, it is possible to beat Honkai: Star Rail challenges while being under-leveled if players can manage their strategy effectively. This guide is aimed at Trailblazers who are struggling to complete level 5 of the Forgotten Hall in Honkai: Star Rail and outlines the crucial points that are worth taking note of.
Forgotten Hall Level 5 Guide - Honkai: Star Rail
First Wave
When it comes to battling the Automaton Grizzly in Honkai: Star Rail's Forgotten Hall level 5, players need to be strategic and efficient in their approach. While not the toughest boss in the game, the limited number of turns players have to achieve a three-star ranking makes every move crucial. Therefore, having a solid understanding of the boss's attack patterns and weaknesses can greatly increase the chances of success.
Enemy | Weakness | Toughness |
---|---|---|
Automaton Spider | Lightning, Wind | 60 |
Automaton Beetle | Lightning, Wind, Imaginary | 60 |
Players should utilize the first wave of easy enemies to fill up their Ultimate gauge for the upcoming battle. However, even with the smaller foes, players should remain vigilant and take note of the Automaton Spider. This enemy will prepare to detonate on its turn and will deal significant damage upon self-destruction. It's essential to defeat the Spider before it has a chance to explode.
Players should be cautious when facing the Automaton Beetle as it possesses a unique ability to create an impenetrable shield that negates any incoming damage from the next attack. It is advisable to use support or Basic Attack to break this shield, as using a DPS Skill would result in zero damage and a waste of valuable resources.
Second Wave
Enemy | Weakness | Toughness |
---|---|---|
Automaton Grizzly | Fire, Ice, Lightning | 420 |
Automaton Beetle | Lightning, Wind, Imaginary | 60 |
Automaton Spider | Lightning, Wind | 60 |
The Automaton Grizzly and one Automaton Beetle will kick off the second wave. The Grizzly boss has the ability to summon two Automaton Spiders that are primed to self-destruct upon arrival. Furthermore, the Grizzly can taunt the team, rendering the Spiders impervious to direct targeting. Hence, it is imperative to have either an AoE attacker, a crowd controller, or a single-target DPS capable of eliminating the Spiders before the Grizzly executes its taunt Skill. Otherwise, failing to defeat the Spiders will result in them exploding on their turn, inflicting significant damage to the team's HP.
Forgotten Hall Level 5 Team Composition
Memory Turbulence: Lightning DMG +50%
Here are the things players would want to have in Forgotten Hall level 5 team in Honkai: Star Rail:
AoE DPS (preferably Lightning)
Single-target DPS (preferably Wind)
Fire, Ice, or Lightning Toughness breaker
Healer or shielder
Fortunately, all this can be fulfilled in a F2P setup with Serval + Dan Heng + Asta + March 7th. Players can also try other teams like:
Jing Yuan + Arlan or Serval + Tingyun + Bailu
Jing Yuan + Yanqing + Bronya + Bailu
However, if players opt to use Serval, Seele, Asta, or Natasha as their shielder, they can still effectively protect the team. Fire Trailblazer may not be the best option due to the mechanics of Automaton Grizzly's attacks, which hit in an area of effect and render the taunt provided by the main character pointless. For this reason, it is recommended that players choose other support characters that can provide healing and shielding abilities.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
