Nick Viall and Luann de Lesseps are reminiscing about their flirty encounter in Chicago back in 2014.
Viall, 43, shared the story during the March 21 episode of his podcast "The Viall Files." He recalled being fresh off his first season of ****The Bachelorette and dining at RPM Italian with friends at the time.
Lesseps, 58, admitted, "Maybe I flirted heavily with you," and Viall responded with a chuckle, "Oh yeah! You definitely showered me with attention."
Viall shared that he was at the restaurant to advise his friends on their divorce when Lesseps approached him. He recalled, "You seemed eager to meet me after my time on the show. You were very gracious. You even suggested going to Stout bar, but I had to decline, saying, 'Countess... I don't think that bar is your scene.'"
Viall shared, "Meeting Luann was a big deal for me. I was so excited that I told everyone about it. It was actually the first time I had ever met a celebrity. Luann made me feel really special. She noticed me, wanted to meet me, and even knew I was on the show. It was like she was treating me like a celebrity."

De Lesseps became a well-known figure in the reality TV industry after joining The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008. She was part of the show from seasons 1 to 13 before it underwent a recasting for season 14, which aired on Bravo in 2023. Both Viall and de Lesseps have become familiar names in the world of reality television.
She shared her positive thoughts about the new cast with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live With Kelly and Mark last year. She mentioned that she believes the new cast represents a different side of New York compared to their own time on the show, where they had a successful 14-year run.
Afterwards, several original cast members came together for season 5 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, which debuted in December 2023.
Fans of reality TV got to know Viall back in 2014 when he joined season 9 of ****The Bachelorette with Andi Dorfman. He didn't win, ending up as the runner-up. The next year, he tried his luck again on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season, but once more, he came in second. Finally, in 2017, he got the opportunity to be the main star on The Bachelor. Since 2019, he has been hosting "The Viall Files".
