Lindsay Hubbard from Summer House is not pursuing a relationship with The Challenge's Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio. According to an exclusive source, their brief connection ended shortly after it began. The source reveals that the two went on a date, but quickly realized they are not compatible.
The update follows a report by Page Six that the pair were spotted together in New York City on the day Lindsay was supposed to marry costar Carl Radke before they ended their engagement. Lindsay, 38, revealed three months after their split that she was taken aback when Carl called off their wedding.
“My entire life was destroyed by him. I cried, I was furious, and I had to find closure on my own. Now I’m in a place where I feel positive about moving forward,” she revealed. “The way Carl handled everything completely betrayed my trust, and when that happens, it makes it easier to pick yourself up and try again.”
Lindsay also mentioned that it wasn’t until “literally the last two weeks of summer” that she noticed something was wrong with Carl. “His attitude and tone changed. There was a lot of hostility and aggression on his part, and I was very perplexed,” she remembered, stating that their on-camera breakup was “absolutely humiliating” for her.
“If this conversation had taken place over the summer, during our usual filming schedule, it would’ve been different. But for [Carl] to contact producers, set up cameras, and manipulate me into a sitting down [so he could break up with me] after we’d finished filming is frightening,” she said.
Lindsay and Carl crossed paths in 2016 while filming season 1 of Summer House. They attempted to transition their friendship into a romantic relationship briefly during season 4 before ending things. They later reignited their bond in late 2021, with Carl confirming their romance to Us in January 2022.
"He admitted at the time that he was frightened because dating your best friend is really terrifying," he mentioned. The former couple both appeared on the Summer House panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month. Lindsay informed attendees during the event that she and Carl "don't really communicate unless he needs to come to the apartment to retrieve some things."

Carl expressed gratitude and nervousness at reuniting with his costars, saying he is proud to be part of the show and Bravo and appreciates the fans. Meanwhile, Lindsay has been linked to country singer Dustin Lynch after her split from Carl, but a source clarified that they are part of the same friend group and not dating.
