Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard has no intention of maintaining a relationship with her ex-fiancé Carl Radke following their dramatic breakup. Before her planned bachelorette trip to the Bahamas, Hubbard, 37, attempted to have a conversation with Radke where he failed to take responsibility for his actions. She explains that she will not waste her time speaking to someone who lacks empathy, awareness, or understanding of the impact of his actions.
Radke, who is 38, and Hubbard were almost ready to get married when he abruptly called off their engagement while the Bravo cameras were rolling. (Hubbard discloses that the show had finished filming when Radke reached out to the producers to document the breakup.)
“It was a brief and to-the-point conversation. That was all,” she says about their initial discussion after he ended things. “Apart from that, our only communication now is through text messages, typically when he needs to come to the apartment or when I'm away.”
Summer House fans have been following Radke and Hubbard since the show first aired in 2017. They had a brief romantic fling in season 4 but ultimately realized that they were better off as friends. However, at the end of season 6, they made the decision to give their relationship another try, leading Radke to propose during season 7.

Hubbard tells Us that she now has no plans to continue filming with Radke after he ended things on screen.
"I am currently not willing to share a house with him anymore considering his actions. This man has completely shattered my trust, particularly because of how he covertly involved the producers and cameras, publicly humiliating me. Right now, I do not feel comfortable at all."
Since the breakup, Hubbard has been prioritizing her personal growth and relationships, showing no desire to reconcile with Radke.
"The door is closed in a romantic sense, and also in a friendship sense," she emphasizes. "Perhaps, in a decade, I might consider being acquaintances. But for now, he is completely out of my life."
After weeks of keeping quiet following the end of her engagement, Hubbard is now ready to share her perspective. "I want to get this burden off my chest," she expresses. "This is the final step towards healing, allowing me to let go and truly move forward."
Radke, on his end, discussed their separation in a letter sent to wedding guests shortly after canceling the wedding.
"In these past two weeks, Lindsay and I have experienced unimaginable hardship," he expressed in a letter addressed to attendees in September. "We sincerely apologize to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We found ourselves needing to unravel the circumstances that led to this point before we could even begin to chart our own course moving forward."
He continued, "There have been numerous false narratives and misunderstandings surrounding this situation, which has only added to the pain. Unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with the wedding at this time. Lindsay is feeling devastated, and I am extremely hurt by the way things have unfolded. I kindly request for some understanding and compassion as we work through this incredibly challenging period and focus on healing and recovery."
