Lala Kent shared how she has become very close to Stassi Schroeder, especially before Stassi's pregnancy with her second baby.
During an episode of her podcast "Give Them Lala" on Monday, March 4, Kent, 33, expressed, "She loves being a mom, just like me. Stassi is open and honest about motherhood, and she's putting in a lot of hard work. We share so much in common that we can have deep conversations and truly understand each other. Our friendship has grown stronger, and I feel like we have become extremely close."
Kent shared that Schroeder was the second person she confided in about her pregnancy. She mentioned that they have a strong connection in many aspects of their friendship.
Schroeder, who is a mother of two already, has a daughter named Hartford, 3, and a son named Messer, 5 months, with her husband Beau Clark. She has been giving Kent advice on how to balance having more than one child.
Kent shared on Sunday, March 3, that she is expecting her second child. In an Instagram post, she excitedly mentioned, "I'm growing my family!" The photo accompanying the post featured Kent displaying her baby bump next to her 2-year-old daughter Ocean, from her previous relationship with Randall Emmett.
Before this announcement, Kent had mentioned earlier this year that she was undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI) in hopes of expanding her family.
Kent shared in a Cosmopolitan profile on January 30 that she never expected to be on the path she's on now. She had envisioned a traditional relationship and starting a family, but she is grateful for the unexpected turn her life has taken.
During a recent podcast episode, Kent mentioned that she received assistance from her fertility specialist and the California Cryobank when selecting a sperm donor.
Choosing a donor was not based on looks for her, she confessed. Intelligence was also not a top priority since she did not consider herself extremely smart. However, there was one specific reason why Kent wanted to know what her donor looked like.

One cast member expressed her thoughts, saying, "I feel like this baby - and we live in Los Angeles, so that's great - but the outside world is funny. Not everybody is as progressive as we are, and I just felt like, 'OK, I'm bringing this baby into the world because I so badly want it to be here. But I also want to eliminate as many questions as I possibly can.'"
Kent wanted to find someone who shared the same aesthetic as her, her mom, Ocean, to avoid unnecessary questions. She mentioned that coming from a regular family can already be challenging, and she didn't want to add any more difficulties for them.
