Faith Stowers has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with her legal expenses in preparation for a potential lawsuit against Stassi Schroeder. Observant fans discovered that on Sunday, June 18, Stowers, 34, included a link to the crowdfunding platform. Her objective is to raise $20,000, and she elaborated on her choice to take legal action against Schroeder, who is also 34.

"I was a former cast member on the television series Vanderpump Rules, where I faced public targeting and relentless verbal attacks from Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute across various public platforms," Stowers expressed on the GoFundMe page. "These two individuals, leveraging their privilege and celebrity status, attempted to bring me down during a difficult period in my life and in our country. Furthermore, I was subjected to racial targeting and baseless accusations of heinous crimes, all of which have been proven false since then."

Stowers explained her decision to take legal action against Schroeder, stating, "I firmly believe that Stassi has not learned from her past mistakes and continues to assert, in her book, that I have committed a felony. This not only damages my career but also affects my family. It is time to put an end to this once and for all. I have assembled an exceptional legal team and we are reaching out to supporters who stand against bullying and racial division for assistance in resolving this matter."

Schroeder and Doute were first thrust into the spotlight in 2020 when it was confirmed by Us that they had been fired from Vanderpump Rules. The reason behind their dismissal stemmed from a claim made by Stowers, the only Black cast member during her time on the show from 2015 to 2017. Stowers alleged that the two women had wrongly involved the police in a previous incident. Responding to Schroeder and Doute's departures, a spokesperson for Stowers expressed support for the network's decision, stating that Stowers had nothing but love for her former co-stars and wished them well-being and happiness.

Schroeder later acknowledged the significant errors that led to her departure from Bravo. In her 2022 memoir, Off With My Head, she described the experience as making a terrible mistake that had no relation to her job performance or true character. She expressed feeling silenced and ashamed, with the added burden of knowing that everyone she knew was aware of her mistake.

In a separate instance, Stowers mentioned Schroeder's book when seeking financial assistance. (To date, she has received $700 through her GoFundMe campaign, which she launched earlier this week.)

"After Kristen's apology was accepted, Stassi Schroeder recently released a book that became a New York Times bestseller. However, I was disappointed to discover that she has once again made false and harmful claims about me. Despite everything that has transpired, she continues to stand by these ignorant statements. As a result, I am seeking the assistance of my legal team to have the book removed from circulation and ensure that any royalties or funds generated from it are donated to charity or used to support a chosen family. I appreciate the ongoing support from all of you and commend those who are standing up against bullying and racial division. We have reached out to representatives for Schroeder and Stowers for their comments on this matter."
