Kratos Transforms into Destiny 2 Titan in God of War Mod

Kratos, the titular god in 2018's God of War, is known for his battle prowess without a full suit of armor. However, a new mod now allows players to outfit Kratos as a Destiny 2 Titan, charging into battle with full armor. The mod coincides with the release of new armor cosmetics in Destiny 2's Eververse shop, inspired by popular PlayStation exclusives. This is a result of Sony's acquisition of Bungie in 2022, and the mod ensures that the influence is felt both ways with the addition of new Eververse items. In the game, Kratos has left his former life behind and resides in a new land ruled by Norse gods. His peaceful life is shattered by the death of his wife and the arrival of a powerful stranger, forcing him and his son, Atreus, to embark on a perilous journey to spread Faye's ashes. Along the way, they encounter new allies, explore strange worlds, and face daunting challenges.

Players can equip armor pieces to provide Kratos with extra protection during his journey with Atreus. However, the armor options are limited to a chest piece and bracers. A new mod, inspired by Destiny 2, has been introduced by Reddit user No-Contribution-5305. This mod completely outfits Kratos in the original Trials of Osiris Titan armor, except for the set's mark. Kratos' belt accessories may prevent the modder from modifying its appearance. The mod has received positive feedback from Reddit users, who appreciate the accurate depiction of the Trials armor set in God of War. Many have noted how Kratos' combat style matches the Titans' approach, who charge into battle with fists and guns blazing. Several have suggested that the modder take it a step further by changing Kratos' weapons to more Titan-appropriate options, such as the Hammer of Sol or Iron Battle Axe.

There's a possibility that Destiny 2 could pave the way for more cross-game integration, following in the footsteps of the newer Eververse cosmetics. The game has already introduced cosmetic items in other titles such as Fortnite and Fall Guys, allowing fans to display their affection for the sci-fi looter shooter in these games.
