Keke Palmer secures a six-month extension on restraining order against ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, ensuring her safety and that of their infant son

Keke Palmer's restraining order against her ex, Darius Jackson, has been extended for six months following her allegations of physical and verbal abuse. The scheduled hearing for January 9 was postponed by mutual agreement, leading to the prolongation of the restraining order. Their next court date is now set for July 16, coinciding with the new expiration date of the restraining order. According to court documents obtained by Page Six.

The paperwork stated that Palmer, aged 30, and Jackson moved the hearing because they are currently participating in a mediation process with a private judge.

Palmer had first requested a restraining order in November 2023, stating in her petition that she possessed security footage of an incident from earlier that month in which Jackson, aged 29, trespassed into her home and threatened her. She claimed that he lunged toward her, struck her, and threw her over the couch.

In legal documents obtained by We, Palmer alleged that there were "numerous cases of physical violence" that occurred during her two-year relationship with Jackson. Palmer, who has a 9-month-old son named Leodis with Jackson, stated in her filing that she ended their relationship in October 2023 because of "the physical and emotional abuse inflicted" upon her.

Following the ruling from a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, Palmer was granted a temporary restraining order. The court mandated that Jackson must maintain a distance of 100 yards from both Palmer and their child, and also prohibited him from having visitation rights.

One month later, Jackson finally spoke out on Instagram, stating, "There's a lot I could say, but I'm not allowed to. And at this point, I don't even want to." He has also responded to Palmer's accusations, claiming that she was the "primary aggressor" in their relationship.

Before their breakup, a source revealed that Palmer and Jackson were in a "complicated" situation. "It's their own lives. Those close to them hope they can work things out for the sake of themselves and their child," an insider shared in August 2023. "They have to resolve things on their own."

Jackson made headlines when he questioned Palmer for wearing a black bodysuit to an Usher concert in Las Vegas in July 2023. After video of Palmer and Usher at the event surfaced, Jackson responded, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.”

In a follow-up post on X (formerly Twitter), Jackson attempted to clarify his perspective, adding, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother of his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Palmer made light of the situation by collaborating with Usher a month later to shoot a music video for her track "Boyfriend," depicting her enjoying a lively evening in Las Vegas with Usher.
