Keke Palmer has been granted her request for a temporary restraining order against her ex, Darius Jackson, as well as temporary sole custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis.
According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has granted Palmer's motion for a temporary restraining order against Jackson. The court has ordered Jackson, 29, to maintain a distance of 100 yards from both Palmer, 30, and their infant son until further notice. Additionally, Jackson is currently not allowed to have visitation rights. It was previously confirmed that Palmer filed a petition on November 9, stating that she possesses security footage of an incident earlier this month in which Jackson trespassed into her home and threatened her. Allegedly, Jackson forcefully lunged at Palmer, struck her, and threw her over the couch.
Palmer claimed in legal documents that there were numerous incidents of physical violence that occurred during her two-year relationship with Jackson. It was confirmed by Palmer that she decided to end the relationship in October because of the physical and emotional abuse she experienced from him.
Although Jackson has not directly responded to the allegations, he did post a picture of himself and his son. His brother, Sarunas Jackson, then stepped in to defend him.
Sarunas, 33, expressed his strong disapproval of a certain individual, stating that they are the most repulsive, detestable, and manipulative person he has ever encountered in his entire life. Sarunas also highlighted the fact that this person is known for mistreating almost everyone. Sarunas then urged others to focus on sending positive energy to children who may be caught in the middle of such situations, as they do not deserve to be involved in them. Sarunas' message has since been deleted, but the drama surrounding it continues to unfold. In response to the situation, Palmer's mother, Sharon Palmer, defended her daughter in an Instagram video. She criticized Sarunas Jackson for posting nonsensical content on Twitter, especially since he was aware of his brother's abusive behavior. Sharon also revealed that she had approached Sarunas over a year ago to inform him about his brother's mistreatment of her daughter, to which Sarunas seemingly expressed a personal connection, stating that he used to behave in a similar manner.
Darius stirred up controversy when he expressed disapproval of the attire Keke wore to an Usher concert in Las Vegas. In photographs shared on social media, Keke was seen wearing a black bodysuit with a sheer black polka dot cover-up while dancing with Usher, who is 45 years old.
Darius, expressing his thoughts on X, questioned the appropriateness of Keke's outfit, particularly since she is a mother. In a separate post, he reinforced his criticism, emphasizing that he firmly believes that a husband and father should not want his wife and the mother of his children to display revealing attire just to please others. Sadly, he faced backlash for his viewpoint, with people accusing him of being a hater. Darius defended himself, stating that he has his own set of standards and morals, which he believes should be upheld in his family and how they present themselves to the world. In conclusion, Darius firmly stands by his stance on the matter.
Keke, who had kept her relationship status with Darius a secret prior to their breakup, joined forces with Usher a month later to playfully address the situation. She starred in the music video for his song "Boyfriend," where she is shown meeting up with Usher and enjoying a lively evening in Las Vegas. In one scene the following morning, she exclaims, "Oh no, I missed the show! I'm exhausted. Being a mother takes its toll, after all."
Keke and Darius were reported to be in a complex situation, according to an exclusive source. Their loved ones are optimistic that they can reconcile for their own well-being and the welfare of their child, as stated by the insider in August. It is necessary for them to independently resolve their issues.
