Another couple from Bachelor in Paradise season 9 have called it quits just days after the finale aired.

In a joint Instagram post on Monday, December 11, Kat Izzo and John Henry Spurlock announced they have decided to end their relationship. They expressed gratitude for the love and support they've received and asked for respect for their privacy as they navigate this transition.

During the finale of the ABC series on Thursday, December 7, Bachelor Nation witnessed John Henry, 31, proposing to Kat, 27, despite concerns about the speed of their relationship.

"I've always trusted my instincts and they've helped me in the past. Right now, my gut is telling me it's too soon - there are many uncertainties. But today, I'm going to take a chance and follow my heart," he said before getting down on one knee. "My heart tells me that you are amazing, you are what I'm looking for. I see a future with you and I'm not falling in love, I am in love with you. So, Kat, will you marry me?"

During her pre-proposal speech to John Henry, Kat expressed her surprise at how quickly she had become comfortable with him, saying she had "never felt so comfortable so quickly with a person in my entire life." She also admitted to doubting herself and expecting something bad to happen because she couldn't believe something so good had come so easily. However, she credited John Henry for bringing her happiness and peace, and confessed that she was fully and wholeheartedly in love with him.

Kat was introduced to fans during season 27 of The Bachelor, where Zach Shallcross was the lead. Before forming a connection with John Henry, she was romantically involved with Brayden Bowers and Tanner Courtad. John Henry, who appeared on Charity Lawson's season 20 of The Bachelorette, was in a relationship with Olivia Lewis when he chose to pursue a relationship with Kat.

"I found him really intriguing and felt a strange attraction towards him. We had developed a friendship during the few days he spent at the beach, so my initial intention wasn't to pursue a romantic relationship," Kat shared about John Henry on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast last month. "He was just enjoyable to converse with and spend time with, and he's quite pleasing to the eye."

She also mentioned that she never wanted to disrespect Olivia.

Living in Paradise can be challenging with everyone constantly around each other. There were times when I felt unsure about my actions because I knew she still had feelings for him, and I never wanted to disrespect anyone," she explained. "I was just concerned about how things would go based on what I had observed so far."

After Thursday's finale, only three couples, including Kat and John Henry, remained together. Eliza Isichei and Aaron Bryant also got engaged, but have faced obstacles in their relationship since leaving the beach, as mentioned in the finale. They have not provided any additional updates on their romance.

Aven Jones and Kylee Russell chose not to get engaged and expressed their love for each other after the episode aired. However, one day later, Kylee confirmed that they had broken up and accused Aven of being unfaithful. Aven apologized in a statement on Sunday, December 10.

"In reflecting on my actions, I sincerely apologize to Kylee, my family, and my friends," Aven wrote. "I have made significant mistakes in the relationship and have hurt someone who was very dear to me. Currently, I am in a very low place and am focusing on self-improvement. I am striving to heal, find myself, and become a better person. I ask for understanding and respect for Kylee and her family during this challenging time."
