Kara Keough Bosworth announced that she and her husband, Kyle Bosworth, are anticipating their fourth child as they pay tribute to their late son, McCoy.
Kara, aged 34, the daughter of Jeana Keough, a former cast member of Real Housewives of Orange County, announced the news on Instagram on July 27th. In her post, Kara reflected on her previous reluctance to share her last pregnancy news due to the heartbreaking loss of her son, McCoy, six days after his birth in April 2020. McCoy's death was attributed to shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord.
She expressed how she only confided in those who needed to know, and even then, it felt more like a burden than a cause for celebration. Kara described it as a painful and difficult admission that she was once again at risk of experiencing another devastating tragedy.
Kara credited her 7-year-old daughter, Decker, for bringing joy into her life during her current pregnancy. Decker proudly announces to anyone who will listen that she is the oldest of four children while lovingly caressing Kara's belly. Her excitement is contagious as she eagerly shares the news of the upcoming arrival of "baby four" with the world. Although Kara had her doubts initially, she has embraced Decker's enthusiasm, as well as that of her other children, Vaughn and McCoy. While it should be a joyful occasion for them to have another sibling, Kara admits to feeling cautiously hesitant about fully embracing the excitement.
Kara concluded her heartfelt post by teasingly mentioning that if she didn't announce the baby news herself, Jeana or Decker might accidentally reveal it beforehand.
Acknowledging those who have supported them during their times of sadness, Kara expressed that it felt fitting for them to also share in their happiness. With a mixture of pride and apprehension, she announced the arrival of Baby Bosworth #4, due in November.

The actress has consistently expressed her views on the challenges of expanding her family following the loss of her son. In April 2021, when she announced the arrival of Vaughn, Kara mentioned that he was born six days prior to what would have been his older brother's first birthday.
She added, "His name signifies 'small/little' and 'hope.' We recognize the significance that if we hadn't experienced the loss of Mack, we would never have had the opportunity to meet Vaughn. However, here he is, an unforeseen stroke of luck. A symbol of hope."
Shortly after McCoy passed away, Kara shared with us exclusively about her and Kyle's journey in dealing with the loss. In April 2020, she expressed, "Despite the difficult reality we are facing, we are determined to honor McCoy's memory in a positive way." Kara also mentioned that they had joined a support group for parents who have experienced similar loss. "We understand that healing will take time, but we are committed to taking the necessary steps to stay on this path."
