Joe Jonas, 34, has asked to keep working on finding a solution with his estranged wife Sophie Turner during their divorce. In new court papers filed on Monday, May 13, Jonas mentioned that he and Turner, 28, will keep talking to reach a fair agreement. According to the documents we saw, the former couple is focused on resolving all matters in a friendly way.
Jonas and Turner have already attended eight days of mediation in October 2023 and December 2023, where they reached "various agreements."
The couple, who were married for four years, have two daughters, Willa and Delphine, born in 2020 and 2022. In September 2023, news emerged that Jonas had filed for divorce, citing their relationship as "irretrievably broken."
Despite some initial disagreements about where Willa and Delphine would live — Turner is from England, while Jonas is from the United States — the couple ultimately agreed to share custody.
In a joint statement to Us in October 2023, Jonas and Turner announced, "After a successful mediation, we have decided that the children will split their time equally between our loving homes in the U.S. and the UK. We are excited to co-parent together and create a positive environment for our daughters."

Turner and Jonas will take turns caring for their daughters every two weeks, as stated in court documents. Turner recently moved back to the U.K. after living in the U.S. with the Jonas Brothers singer.
In a recent interview with British Vogue published on May 15th, Turner shared her thoughts on her divorce for the first time. She expressed dissatisfaction with how things unfolded, especially concerning their children. Despite the challenges, Turner believes they are trying their best to navigate the situation. She commended Joe for being a great father to their children, which is all she could ask for.
The British actress shared that her biggest dream is to have a joyful, united family.
She expressed, "I envision a grand Christmas celebration where my daughters can be surrounded by their father, Joe's entire family, and their grandparents. The most important thing for me is for my girls to feel loved and supported by everyone who cares about them."
Turner shared that she was determined to advocate for the best interests of Willa and Delphine throughout the challenging legal dispute.
She reflected on the tough moments, admitting, "There were times when I felt like giving up. I would reach out to my lawyer and say, 'I can't handle this. I just can't.' I struggled to stand up for myself." However, after feeling stuck for two weeks, her lawyer reminded her that she was fighting for her children. When someone tells her, 'Do it for your kids,' she finds the strength within herself to keep going. Turner confessed, "I may not do it for myself, but I will always find the courage for them."
Jonas, for his part, has not publicly addressed their divorce or custody plans. A source previously told Us in October 2023 that the singer was “focusing his energy on his music and his family.”
