Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have made progress in finalizing a custody agreement for their two daughters. Earlier this month, they reached a temporary solution and are now able to take a step back and assess how this arrangement is working before making a final decision on a permanent solution.
Jonas, aged 34, and Turner, aged 27, disclosed on October 10th that they have temporarily settled their daughters Willa, aged 3, and Delphine, aged 14 months. This agreement will remain in place until the end of the year. The source informs Us that the separated pair expresses gratitude for being able to reach a mutual understanding regarding the children.
Jonas initiated divorce proceedings against Turner in September, marking the end of their four-year marriage. The divorce turned contentious when Turner, an actor from Game of Thrones, took legal action and filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband. In the lawsuit, she demanded the return of their daughters to the United Kingdom, alleging that they were being unlawfully held in the United States. A representative for Jonas described the lawsuit as an "unfortunate legal dispute surrounding the dissolution of a marriage" in a statement provided to Us.
Instead of proceeding to trial, the ex-couple swiftly reached a resolution. "While the custody agreement is currently temporary, Sophie and Joe acknowledge that this could have been a lengthy and arduous procedure," states a source. "Hence, they are relieved that they managed to discover some shared understanding and reach a compromise on this matter, at least for now."

"Following a productive and successful mediation, the former couple has reached an agreement that entails the children splitting their time equally between their loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK," shared the couple in a statement to Us on October 10. "We are excited to embark on our journey as supportive coparents."
According to a different source, Turner and Jonas are "progressing towards healing and working towards establishing a healthy coparenting relationship" after their separation, as revealed on October 13 to Us.
“They’re both on the same page,” the insider added. “It’s definitely not as contentious now. They’re taking steps forward.”
