Jerry O’Connell has a secret that he will never reveal - it has to do with how old his twin daughters are.

In a recent episode of The Talk on Tuesday, March 19, the 50-year-old TV host shared that he and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, 51, have decided not to disclose to their daughters which one of them was born first.

My wife and I have twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, who are 15 years old. We don't refer to them as the first born or the second born in our family. Instead, my wife came up with a unique idea that I now fully support. Our kids are not aware of who is the older twin.

This decision was inspired by a meeting we had with another set of twins just before our daughters were born. One of the twins proudly declared, 'I'm a minute older than my sibling, I'm a minute older.' It was in that moment my wife suggested that we keep the birth order a secret from our daughters. We even went as far as having their birth certificates state that they were born at the exact same minute. This little secret is something only my wife and I are aware of.

The actor from Stand By Me joked about a funny "experiment" he's doing to confuse his children, Charlie and Dolly. He mentioned that they often guess who is older between the two, and they have been wrong many times. He humorously mentioned that he might reveal the truth on his deathbed by saying, "Your sister is older."

When not teasing their kids about their ages, O’Connell and Romijn enjoy finding new and amusing ways to embarrass them. On March 1, O’Connell posted a car selfie on social media with Charlie and some of her classmates. He shared that he picked up his daughter from school and offered a ride to a boy, resulting in five kids squeezing into the car. O’Connell joked about his daughter being embarrassed and commented on the boys' long hair, adding that he is also growing his hair out.

Romijn and O'Connell enjoy some lighthearted fun with their choice of family car. Romijn shared with Us in 2019 that they prefer using their old car to drop off their kids at school, believing in the importance of embracing the most embarrassing family car possible. O'Connell chimed in, mentioning that they reside in Calabasas, a suburb of Los Angeles known for its celebrity residents and their expensive vehicles. In a place where Bentleys are a common sight, the couple takes pride in driving the complete opposite of such luxury cars.

Romijn has jokingly mentioned that she might do school dropoff in her pajamas and jokingly threaten to "yell at the principal about something." On the other hand, O'Connell enjoys singing his favorite old school songs while driving his car, much to the embarrassment of his daughters. In a video shared in October 2019, the talk show host can be seen singing Prince's "When Doves Cry" as his daughters, Dolly and Charlie, plead with him to stop.

"One of them shouted, 'Turn it down!'"

Romijn and O’Connell often share adorable photos of their daughters, Charlie and Dolly, on social media. The X-Men actress recently posted a sweet snapshot of the family on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Mother’s Day! So grateful to be the mom of these two.”

Editor's P/S:

Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn's decision to keep their twin daughters' birth order a secret is both intriguing and heartwarming. It's a testament to their desire to foster a sense of equality and avoid potential sibling rivalry. By withholding this information, they allow their daughters to develop their own identities and relationships without the pressure of being labeled as the "older" or "younger" twin.

The couple's playful approach to parenting, such as O'Connell's "experiment" to confuse his daughters about their ages, adds a touch of humor to their unique approach. It's clear that they prioritize creating a fun and loving environment for their children, where they can feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their individuality. The use of their "embarrassing" family car and O'Connell's public displays of affection are all part of their ongoing effort to keep their daughters grounded and remind them that they are loved unconditionally.
