Jerry O'Connell opens up about his twin daughters questioning him regarding John Stamos' controversial memoir, where he allegedly referred to Rebecca Romijn as 'The Devil'

John Stamos’ new memoir has captured the attention of many fans, including the teenage daughters of his ex-wife, Rebecca Romijn. According to Romijn’s husband, Jerry O’Connell, their 14-year-old children are now able to see things as they truly are, with no more secrets or restrictions.

O'Connell and Romijn, both in their forties, celebrated the arrival of their twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, in 2008, shortly after their marriage. Stamos, Romijn's ex-husband, aged 60, delves into their past relationship in his recently released book, If You Would Have Told Me, which has gained considerable attention.

Within the pages of his memoir, Stamos reflects on feeling a sense of loss as he devoted himself to supporting Romijn's career and personal growth throughout their ten-year partnership. He expresses that Romijn's focus on her career and forming new friendships resulted in him feeling distant and disconnected.

Stamos, during their divorce in 2004, referred to Romijn as "the devil," suggesting a betrayal led to the end of their marriage. However, over time, he gained a new perspective and acknowledged his own role in the split. O'Connell joked that he and Romijn would exchange glances and whispers about the revelations from the book. He also mentioned the awkwardness of their children asking about Stamos calling Romijn "the devil" and the interesting dynamics it brings. Nonetheless, they have no secrets between them.

According to O'Connell, he and Romijn decided not to read the book when it was released. Instead, they listened to a radio interview with Stamos talking about it with Howard Stern. "After hearing that interview," O'Connell said, "we lost any desire to read the book."

However, O’Connell claims to have covertly perused it and possesses a concealed copy. Host Andy Cohen displayed skepticism, remarking, "No, that's not what you're saying."

Additionally, O'Connell disclosed the reason behind his reluctance to discuss the book on The Talk. He explained to viewers that his wife's ex-husband recently published a biography which portrayed his wife negatively. O'Connell expressed that many media outlets have inquired about this matter, but he chose not to engage, stating, "It would be tempting to react angrily and dismissively. However, such a response would only draw attention to a situation I prefer not to become embroiled in."

He continued: “There’s children involved, teenage children who read everything on the internet, so you don’t want to feed that fire.”
