Jeezy is currently trying to get primary custody of his 2-year-old daughter Monaco with Jeannie Mai as they go through their divorce.
In court papers seen by Page Six, Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Jenkins and is 46 years old, officially filed for custody of Monaco on April 10. He explained that he wants to change their custody agreement because Monaco prefers to live with him full-time since Jeannie Mai is often busy with her schedule.
Jeezy claimed that he had agreed to move into the basement of their home with Mai. However, the Talk alum, who is 45, ended up moving out of the house and taking their daughter with her, according to reports.
After Mai moved out, Jeezy said that Mai's brother and mother were the ones mainly taking care of their daughter. He expressed his belief that Mai's current schedule is not ideal for their daughter and that their child would be better off living with him full-time.
Jeezy is not only seeking custody but also claiming that Mai has prevented him from seeing his children for the past two months. Apart from Monaco, Jeezy is also a father to three other children from previous relationships.
We have tried to contact Mai for her response.
Jeezy filed for divorce from Mai in September 2023 after being married for two years. The ex-couple has been locked in a legal dispute since the initial filing. Throughout the challenging divorce process, Mai has openly shared how her daughter has been a source of strength and support.

"Mai shared during an October 20233 episode of Sherri that Monaco is her North Star. She mentioned that she is unsure if she would handle things the same way without her."
One month later, Jeezy expressed concern that Mai was acting as a "gatekeeper" between him and his daughter, Monaco. He found their "fluid parenting schedule" to be causing stress.
In legal documents, Jeezy claimed that Jeannie's involvement in his relationship with their child was unintentionally causing confusion and tension between them. This interference was hindering the development of his bond with his daughter.
In the same month, Mai claimed that Jeezy was unfaithful. She requested the judge not to enforce their prenuptial agreement, which had a provision for a penalty in case of cheating. Jeezy denied Mai's accusations.
Jeezy's representative stated in December 2023, "Any allegations of infidelity against Mr. Jenkins are completely untrue, and we will not be making any additional comments at this time."

The ongoing custody battle between Jeezy and Jeannie Mai highlights the complexities of co-parenting during a divorce. Jeezy's request for primary custody raises concerns about the impact of Mai's busy schedule on their daughter's well-being. His claims of being prevented from seeing his child for two months further escalate the conflict. Meanwhile, Mai has expressed her reliance on her daughter as a source of support throughout the divorce.
It's essential to consider the child's best interests in such situations. The court will likely evaluate the stability, safety, and emotional well-being provided by both parents. The allegations of infidelity and the dispute over the prenuptial agreement add another layer of complexity to the case. Ultimately, the court's decision will aim to ensure the child's welfare and foster a healthy relationship between both parents and their daughter.
