Jeezy is denying the abuse allegations made by his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai. In a statement shared on Instagram, the rapper expressed that the allegations are false and deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone he loved. He described the attempt to tarnish his character and disrupt his family as ridiculous.
Jeezy stated that it is disheartening to witness manipulation and deceit in play. His main concern at this time is being an active father to their daughter as he continues to fight for court mandated joint custody.
In September 2023, it was confirmed that Jeezy had filed for divorce from Mai, who is 45 years old, after being married for two years. They have a 2-year-old daughter named Monaco. (Earlier this year, Mai requested the judge not to enforce their prenup.)
"Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels," Jeezy stated on Thursday.
Jeezy denied the allegations shortly after court documents were filed by Mai in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. She claimed that her estranged husband had "explosive outbursts" and was involved in "excessive drinking and domestic violence."

In January 2022, according to court documents reviewed by E! News, there was a specific incident involving Jeezy and Jeannie Mai. During this time, Jeezy reportedly insulted Mai and then physically struck her with a closed fist, causing a subconjunctival hemorrhage around her cheekbone and eye.
Three months later, in April 2022, the alleged abuse persisted with another incident. Mai stated in the filing that Jeezy had choked her from behind.
The documents emphasized, "The safety and well-being of the minor child while in the care and custody of Father has been of utmost concern to Mother since she first learned that Father was seeking a divorce."
Jeezy filed for primary custody of Monaco earlier this month because the toddler wants to live with him due to Mai’s busy schedule. Court documents obtained by Page Six confirmed this.
Their messy split has been playing out publicly since Jeezy filed for divorce from Mai.
Jeezy initially filed for divorce, stating that their marriage was "irretrievably broken" with no chance of reconciliation. The paperwork was submitted in September 2023, but he had actually signed the documents in June of the same year, indicating that they were already living separately.
Mai responded to the divorce filing in November 2023, hinting at infidelity in their relationship. Jeezy has denied these claims since then.
“Any claim of infidelity on Mr. Jenkins’ behalf [is] 100 percent false and we have no further statements at this time,” his rep told Us in December 2023.
