Jax Taylor offered some advice to Rachel “Raquel” Leviss following her affair with Tom Sandoval.
According to Taylor, 44, Leviss needs to find a real job. He mentioned during an exclusive interview with We at the premiere party for Bravo’s The Valley at Jax’s Studio City on Thursday, March 14th, that she is currently doing everything except getting a real job.
Taylor expressed that he has no interest in being associated with Leviss. He suggested that Rachel should take a break to rediscover herself as an individual, as he believes she may have lost sight of who she truly is in the midst of fame. According to him, she became overwhelmed by the allure of celebrity status.
He further added that the situation became too much for her to handle and reiterated his belief that she should distance herself from it. Taylor expressed his opinion that the lifestyle of fame was not suitable for Rachel.
In March 2023, it was revealed that Ariana Madix and Sandoval, 41, broke up because of his affair with Leviss. The drama unfolded publicly during the end of Vanderpump Rules season 10. Leviss then decided to take a break and went to a mental health facility for 90 days before leaving the show. However, Sandoval, whose relationship with Leviss didn't work out, is still a part of the show.
After leaving the show, Leviss has focused on her modeling career and running her podcast called "Rachel Goes Rogue." Even though Taylor didn't want her involved in his new show, he expressed that he wished the best for Leviss as she navigated through the controversy.
He advised Us in July 2023 that Leviss would need to be resilient for her future at Bravo. In his view, he believed that Raquel took on a challenge that may have been too much for her. He doubted her mental toughness to handle a situation like this.

Taylor also raised concerns about Sandoval's actions in the situation. "I feel like he acted a bit like a diva," he added. "I think he believed he could do something like this without consequences, which is why it has become such a big deal and lasted for so long. It's not just a simple mistake or hookup, it's been ongoing for a while."
Taylor previously criticized Sandoval for showing a "lack of empathy" and being tone-deaf in his comments about a certain situation.
Since then, Taylor and Sandoval have resolved their issues after filming a scene together for season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. This scene also acted as a segue into the first episode of The Valley, a spinoff series featuring VPR alums Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute.
Taylor mentioned on Thursday that everyone makes mistakes, including on Vanderpump Rules. He admitted to cheating on Ariana a year ago and feels it's time to move on. Ariana seems happy and is doing well with her new boyfriend, Daniel Wai. It's time to stop discussing Scandoval and focus on other topics like The Valley.
The new show, The Valley, has received an eight-episode order from Bravo. It will center around a group of friends transitioning from their wild youth to parenthood and adult life in California's San Fernando Valley.
The Valley features Taylor’s friend Danny Booko and his wife, Nia Booko, a former Miss USA. Also appearing on the show are Jesse Lally, who has been friends with Taylor since their modeling days, along with his wife Michelle Lally, Jason Caperna, and Janet Caperna. Bachelor Nation’s Jasmine Goode and Cartwright’s college friend Zack Wickham will also be making guest appearances on the show as "friends" of the cast.
The Valley will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, March 19, at 9 p.m. ET and will be available for streaming the following day on Peacock.

Jax Taylor's advice to Raquel Leviss highlights the complex aftermath of her affair with Tom Sandoval. Taylor's suggestion that Leviss find a "real job" reflects a societal expectation that women should prioritize financial stability over emotional well-being. However, it's important to recognize that Leviss has been actively pursuing alternative career paths, such as modeling and podcasting. Taylor's comments also raise questions about the nature of fame and its potential to overwhelm individuals who are not fully prepared for its challenges.
Despite his criticism of Leviss, Taylor also expresses a desire for her to navigate the situation successfully. He advises her to focus on her own well-being and distance herself from the spotlight. This suggests that Taylor understands the toll that the scandal has taken on Leviss and believes that she can ultimately recover and move forward. Overall, Taylor's advice is a mix of tough love and genuine concern, reflecting the complexities of the situation and the challenges that Leviss faces as she attempts to rebuild her life in the wake of the affair.
