Jax Taylor responded to wife Brittany Cartwright's announcement about moving out of their shared home. He clarified that they are currently living together in their home. Taylor mentioned that Cartwright had stayed in a different house for a period but has now returned home.
Taylor mentioned that he and his partner are currently in the process of navigating the next steps of their separation. He pointed out that the new situation is still in its early stages.
He emphasized that there is no malice or hostility involved in their decision. Taylor explained that after being married for a decade, they are taking some time apart to evaluate their relationship. With a child in the picture, their main priority is to do what is best for their kid.
Taylor’s statement follows Cartwright’s discussion on their podcast "When Reality Hits" earlier that day.
Many of you have been asking about Jax and me and our relationship. It's important for us to be real and honest with you because we've shared so much of our lives with you. We want to address that we've had a tough year in our marriage. We don't want to hide anything or give a false impression. So, it's important for us to share this with you.
She explained, "Jax and I have decided to take a break, and I felt it was best for my mental well-being to move into a different home for some space. It's still tough for me to discuss all the details right now."
Earlier this month, concerns arose about the relationship between the ex-Vanderpump Rules stars when they hinted at needing some "space" in their marriage. (Taylor was in Montreal, Canada, before heading to his hometown of Detroit. Cartwright mentioned finding out about his trip through social media.)
Cartwright mentioned on the podcast that there are some rumors that need to be addressed, but she doesn't want to delve too deeply into it to respect people's privacy. She emphasized that marriage can be challenging, with its ups and downs being a normal part of the journey. People may need space at times, and that's okay.
Taylor chose not to comment on the situation, leaving Cartwright to allude to some difficulties that arose after filming the upcoming series The Valley for Bravo several months ago. The show is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, March 19.
Cartwright emphasized that her life is not meant for publicity, stating that there have been many changes since the cameras stopped rolling. She made it clear that there are no publicity stunts involved.
Taylor and Cartwright got married almost five years ago in a wedding that was featured on season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. They have a two-year-old son named Cruz.
Who is the top guy in the Vanderpump Rules group? Taylor and Cartwright were both part of the original VPR cast. Taylor joined the show in 2013, while Cartwright became a member in 2015. However, both of them left the series in December 2020.
"The past 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been filled with challenges, rewards, and fulfillment," Taylor shared on Instagram. "It's tough to say, but Brittany and I won't be coming back for another season. We're looking forward to focusing on our expanding family and sharing our new adventures with all of you."
