Jake Elliott, former teammate of Jason Kelce, revealed that the retired center has been frequently visiting the Eagles building since March. According to Elliott, Kelce's presence has been a significant loss for the team, along with Fletcher Cox. The leadership and influence they left behind can still be felt among the players in the locker room.
He continued by saying that the impact made by those guys will last a long time. He mentioned that Kelce has been in the building almost every day and they will always be a big part of the organization.
When asked about the possibility of Kelce, who is 36 years old, coming out of retirement, Elliott replied, "That's not my deal, you can talk to Jason about that."
Elliott and Kelce were teammates from 2017 to 2022. Elliott was released by the Cincinnati Bengals but then joined the Eagles. Elliott and Kelce, along with their wives Annie and Kylie, are close friends outside of football as well.
Recently, Kelce discussed the "next phase" of his career on ESPN during an episode of his podcast "New Heights" with Travis Kelce.

Jason mentioned that nothing has been confirmed or publicly announced yet. He acknowledged the rumors about him joining ESPN, but believes that the truth will eventually come out.
According to The Athletic, Jason has reportedly signed on to be part of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown. He will be working alongside host Scott Van Pelt, as well as analysts Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears.
During that period, the outlet reported that Kelce was being pursued to appear on sports shows by NBC, Prime Video and CBS.
Jason announced his retirement on March 4 during a press conference.
Jason shared with the audience his exhilarating experience of being on the field. He described feeling the most alive and free while playing football, a sport that gave him a unique sense of energy and excitement. The physical intensity of the game would make the hairs on his arms stand up, and he loved the adrenaline rush of hitting someone, running around wildly, and receiving praise for his efforts.
In April 2023, Jason joined 25 other football players at the Broadcasting and Media Workshop. The workshop aimed to help them improve their skills and knowledge in order to pursue careers as studio analysts in the future. It was a valuable opportunity for them to enhance their craft and expand their horizons in the world of sports broadcasting.
"This workshop is completely new to me. I now have even greater admiration for it," Jason shared with the Associated Press. "It's really challenging to react live to something that just occurred and come up with something clever and meaningful to say."
