A recent leak of Honkai: Star Rail has revealed the upcoming character, Topaz. Although the release of update 1.3 is scheduled for August 30, the game's official social media has already confirmed the arrival of two new characters in version 1.4.
Fans were surprised when HoYoverse announced Topaz and Numby as the new characters, as it is unusual for playable units to feature more than one character. Topaz is the main character, while Numby is a Warp Trotter who always accompanies Topaz on her adventures. In Honkai: Star Rail, Warp Trotters are typically special enemies that drop a significant amount of Stellar Jade.
A recent post on the Honkai Star Rail Leaks subreddit has unveiled the in-game appearance of the upcoming character Topaz, who has received official confirmation for version 1.4. The overall response from fans has been positive, as evidenced by the nearly 2k upvotes received by the post. Many comments have pointed out that her outfit bears a striking resemblance to Eula, a character from another game in the HoYoverse, Genshin Impact. It is worth noting that this is not the first instance of the Genshin and Honkai franchises borrowing design elements from each other, as there are several instances of characters in the Teyvat world having counterparts in the Honkai universe.

Notably, leaked information from previous Honkai: Star Rail sources reveals that Topaz possesses a skill enabling her to summon a powerful pet called Wrap Trotter. This pet deals Fire damage to the targeted enemy and has a 100% chance to inflict the Burn status for two turns. As a result, affected enemies will suffer damage at the beginning of each round.
Numby will receive a Critical Rate increase and a buff to its attacks through her ultimate. Additionally, Topaz's ultimate will grant a Speed buff for two rounds and inflict additional Fire damage. It is advised that players approach these leaks with caution, as this character is expected to be released in Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4, which is scheduled to launch in the first half of October, following the game's usual update schedule. Honkai: Star Rail is currently accessible on Android, iOS, and PC, with a PS5 version currently in the works.
