Hilary Duff, who is currently pregnant, did not allow her Braxton-Hicks contractions to stop her from attending Mandy Moore's birthday party.
In a post on her Instagram Story on Monday, April 8, Duff, 36, shared a photo with her husband, Matthew Koma, from the previous night when they celebrated Moore's upcoming 40th birthday. Duff mentioned that she was hoping the Braxton Hicks contractions she was experiencing would turn into actual labor. (Moore's actual birthday is on Wednesday, April 10.)
Braxton Hicks are often referred to as false labor pains. They are actually the body's way of getting ready for real labor, but they do not mean that labor has started, as stated by the National Library of Medicine.

Hilary Duff shared a video on her Instagram of the birthday celebration for Mandy Moore. In the video, Moore's husband, Taylor Goldsmith, performed a song for her during a parents' evening out. Duff captioned the post with "We love you." The group also sang "Happy Birthday" to Moore while a birthday cake was brought out for her.
The evening also included a performance of “King Kong Hand” by Mike Viola at the Hotel Café music bar in Los Angeles.

Duff announced in December 2023 that she is pregnant with her and Koma’s third baby, her fourth.
"Guess what?" she posted on Instagram, revealing the family's holiday card featuring her prominent baby bump. "Get ready, because we're welcoming another little one to our already wild crew!"
The couple, who got married in December 2019, have two daughters together - Banks, 5, and Mae, 3. Duff is also a mother to her son Luca, 12, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.
As Duff gets ready to welcome her fourth child, she takes a moment to think about the chaos that comes with having so many little ones running around the house.
In a post on Instagram on Sunday, April 7, she mentioned that having 4 kids is quite a crazy decision. She also expressed her gratitude towards her husband, who supports her by taking the kids to the farmers market after working late nights, allowing her to get some much-needed rest. This teamwork between them is what makes it all work smoothly.
Duff mentioned that she was having trouble sleeping during the day in her late pregnancy and wondered why she couldn't sleep at night.
On the other hand, Koma recently got a vasectomy to make sure they wouldn't have more than four kids.
The musician shared updates about his surgery on social media. He said, "It's really not that bad." Koma mentioned on his Instagram Story on March 10 that the experience was "better" than going to the dentist. He also said, "I would definitely recommend it, 10/10."
