Hilary Duff is a mother of four!

The actress, 36, and her husband, Matthew Koma, welcomed a baby girl via a water birth on May 3.

"Townes Meadow Bair, now we understand why she kept us waiting for so long. She was just perfecting those adorable cheeks!" Duff shared on Instagram on Tuesday, May 7.

"I have been imagining holding you in my arms for months now, and the past 5 days of getting to know you, looking at you, and smelling you have been truly magical moments. We all love you as if you have been a part of our lives forever, sweet beauty."

Duff and Koma, who tied the knot in 2019, share daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2. Duff also shares eldest son Luca, 11, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.

Hilary Duff shared the news of her fourth pregnancy in December 2023 on Instagram. In a family holiday card photo, she, her partner Matthew Koma, and their children were all dressed in pajamas.

The Christmas card included a playful note that said, "So much for silent nights. Love, the Duff, Bair, Comrie crew."

Later that month, Duff posted a picture on Instagram with Koma to show how thankful she was for some time away from the kids.

In the caption, Duff mentioned how beneficial it was to have a few nights without the kids. She also expressed her love for Koma, saying she loves him even more than during her first trimester.

Duff shared with We that co-parenting with Koma has strengthened their bond even more. In May 2019, she expressed, "We are happier and more in love than ever. We are excited about our future together. He caught me off guard, and I couldn't help but say, 'Yes! You are my favorite person in the whole world, besides my kids.'"

Duff became a mom in 2012 when her son Luca was born. After being married for four years, she and Comrie split up in 2014 and officially divorced two years later. The singer of "With Love" tied the knot with Koma in 2019 and they welcomed children in 2018 and 2021.

Throughout the years, Duff has been open about the ups and downs of being a mom, especially recalling the challenges she experienced when she became a parent for the first time at the age of 24.

"It was a bit lonely at first because none of my friends had babies yet," she mentioned in an interview on the “Motherly” podcast in June 2019. "But I had been working for a long time, so becoming a mom felt like a natural next step for me. I always knew that being a mom was my top priority in life. I felt prepared in some ways, but also a bit scared. The real fear only kicked in once I found out I was pregnant, thinking, 'Wow, this is really happening. What if this? What if that?'"

When it comes to coparenting her oldest child with Comrie, Duff shared with Grazia in May 2022, “We often talk about [Mike]. I love telling him about how I met his father, the happy times we shared, the moment I found out I was pregnant, and how we navigated pregnancy together. It's a very special bond we have."
