"Isn't that cool?" Paltrow exclaimed when asked about the actor who used to babysit her.

During the Williamstown Theatre Festival, my mom, actress Blythe Danner, was performing in plays. Kiefer Sutherland, who was an apprentice at the time, took care of me and my brother, Jake Paltrow. I must say, he was amazing.

As he thought back, he couldn't believe how quickly time had passed.

He chuckled, saying, "It's really funny how someone can go from being 13 to 18 in what feels like a blink of an eye. And when Gwyneth started working, I was taken aback because she looked so different. I still remember her as a young girl of 11 or 12."

Sutherland has come a long way since his babysitting days, becoming a well-known actor in action-packed shows and movies. He gained fame for his role as counter terrorism agent Jack Bauer in the FX show 24, which ran for 124 episodes from 2001 to 2014. In addition to 24, Sutherland starred in the Netflix drama Designated Survivor from 2016 to 2019, and appeared in other projects such as Rabbit Hole, The First Lady, Pompeii, and The Fugitive.

Paltrow has gained plenty of babysitting experience now that she is a mom to Apple, 19, and Moses, 17, whom she shares with ex Chris Martin. She even watched Beyoncé's daughter, Blue Ivy, back in 2016 during the Super Bowl so the singer could focus on her halftime performance.

"It's really funny," Paltrow shared with Entertainment Tonight at the time. "It's like my kids' dad and Blue's mom are always doing these incredible, mind-boggling things and I'm always with the kids and the snack bag and baby wipes and juice boxes."
