Gwyneth Paltrow Pays Tribute to Daughter Apple on Her 20th Birthday My Lil Ride or Die

Gwyneth Paltrow is amazed that her daughter Apple Martin has turned 20 years old. She expressed her disbelief by posting a collection of baby photos on Instagram on Tuesday, May 14.

“How can it be that you are 20 today? It feels surreal!” she wrote.

Paltrow went on to share her favorite attributes of her daughter, whom she shares with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

"I love your WWII insights just as much as I love your physical comedy. You're always a blast to hang out with, and you always have been," she expressed. "From the old days when it was just you and me to now, you're my favorite person to be around. You mean the world to me, and I'm so proud of you."

Apple responded to the heartfelt message with one of her own.

"You're the best mom a girl could have," she said. "I feel so fortunate that I belong to you."

Paltrow has felt overwhelmed by the passing of time before. She once admitted that the idea of her son Moses going off to college made her have "a nervous breakdown."

"I've centered my entire life around my children and their schedules," she shared at a Goop Health Summit in Carlsbad, California last month. "As they start driving themselves around or taking on more responsibilities, you gradually learn to let go. It's a slow process. I consider myself fortunate to have a tight-knit group of mom friends. We've all raised our kids together, supporting each other along the way. We're in this journey together."

Paltrow has two children with Martin and two step-children from her marriage to Brad Falchuk, Glee co-creator. Apple is currently studying at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, while Moses is set to attend Brown University in the upcoming fall. Falchuk's children are also in college, with Isabella at Cornell and Brody preparing to start his higher education journey later this year. Paltrow mentioned that Apple's departure for college marked a significant change in October 2022.

"I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew it would be difficult because Apple and I are so close and were together all the time," she said.

Martin, who is 47 years old, is engaged to Dakota Johnson. The couple has been dating since 2017. It has been reported that he is very happy with the way he and Paltrow are able to coparent their kids. According to an insider who spoke exclusively to Us, "Chris couldn’t feel more grateful" and described their relationship as "seamless."

“[Martin and Paltrow are] focused on putting their children first despite things not having worked out between them,” the source added.
