Former Bachelor star Demi Burnett is opening up about her sex life, or rather, the lack of it.

"I've been celibate for two years. I'm not having sex," Burnett, 29, shared with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on the "Almost Famous" podcast. "Since I stopped drinking, I really - I went back to my old high school ways of being a prude."

Burnett expressed her strong feelings about sex, stating that she finds the idea "disgusting."

She elaborated on her feelings by mentioning how the physical act of sex involves bodily fluids coming into contact and raised concerns about hygiene. She admitted to being particular about cleanliness, even to the point of being turned off by certain smells.

Burnett first appeared on reality TV during Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor in 2019. She became a controversial figure in the franchise and was eliminated in week 6.

After her time on The Bachelor, Burnett joined Bachelor in Paradise season 6. She brought her relationship with Kristian Haggerty to Mexico, where they got engaged. Unfortunately, the engagement ended in October 2019.

Burnett briefly dated musician Slater Davis for five months in 2020, but they broke up in June of that year. She later appeared on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise but was eliminated in week 3.

When talking about her relationship status with We in 2022, Burnett shared exclusively that she was currently "so single" and had decided to focus on other things besides dating.

"I haven’t been focusing on dating because I had to figure out everything about myself, understand myself, work on that, healed from trauma, work on where I want to be and, you know, just all about Demi,” she said. “And I feel like that’s what I need to do before I’m ready to start dating, so I’m not there yet.”

Burnett seemed to be referring to the announcement she made in February 2022, revealing that she had been diagnosed as autistic following a psychological test.

Burnett also mentioned that she keeps in touch with the women she met on The Bachelor, some of whom are also single. "I still talk to the women and I truly believe we have amazing and strong women. Many of us are still single," she revealed. "I find inspiration in them because they have always supported me whenever I needed them."
