Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s relationship struggles take the spotlight in the latest Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley.

In the recently released trailer on Monday, March 11, Jax, 44, opens up to his friend Tom Schwartz. “I have a wonderful son. I own a fantastic bar,” he shares. “And I have savings in the bank.”

Tom, who is 41 years old, jokes that Jax will eventually end up living with him "divorced and miserable." They both laugh it off, but Jax pleads for Tom not to put that idea out there. (VPR stars Tom and Katie Maloney split in 2022.)

Brittany is feeling "baby fever" and expresses her desire to have a second child with Jax. However, Jax has reservations about giving their 2-year-old son, Cruz, a sibling.

Jax expresses his concerns to Brittany about the idea of bringing another human being into their lives, which worries him. Brittany, visibly upset, responds by stating that she lives for her child. Jax then tries to comfort her by telling her not to cry, but this only seems to make her more upset.

Apart from their differing views on expanding their family, Brittany and Jax have other issues in their relationship. Brittany confides in her friends that she feels Jax is not attracted to her and that they rarely have sex. The trailer also hints at rumors of Jax cheating on Brittany, but a source has clarified that cheating is not the main reason for their separation.

Jax and Brittany are experiencing marriage issues due to the challenges of juggling work and family responsibilities. During a tense moment, Brittany and Jax engage in a heated argument in front of their Valley costars. "You're my husband and you're trying to make me look like I'm a bad person! F–k you!" Brittany shouts before storming off. After she exits, Jax confides in the guys, saying, "She has [a] f–king problem."

Brittany recently shared that she and Jax were going through a rough patch and decided to spend some time apart. The announcement of their separation came after the filming of season 1 of The Valley. However, Brittany revealed that the cameras started rolling again to provide an update on her relationship status with Jax.

During the Friday, March 8, episode of their “When Reality Hits” podcast, Brittany mentioned that filming for The Valley took place in July, August, and September, wrapping up in September. They resumed filming for a couple of days to update everyone on their current life situation.

While Brittany and Jax’s relationship issues take the spotlight, season 1 has more drama in store. Kristen Doute makes her Bravo comeback, contemplating motherhood and bringing her spirited energy back to the group.

“I didn’t expect to relive this all over again!” Kristen, 41, expresses frustrations, recalling her controversial dismissal for past racially insensitive actions in 2020. “I would rather be part of Vanderpump Rules!”

The Valley premieres on Bravo on Tuesday, March 19, at 9 p.m. ET.
