In addition to revealing the backstory of Ahsoka's new Inquisitor nemesis, information regarding the series is flooding in. It is already known that Rosario Dawson will portray Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi and unsung hero of the Rebel Alliance. The show will navigate between the events following Return of the Jedi in The Mandalorian and the pre-A New Hope era depicted in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. As a result, it will include numerous characters from the latter and is even considered a continuation of that storyline. However, it appears that Ahsoka will not be the only show to feature characters from previous tales.

A Reddit user named Alcida-Auka came across a listing on Amazon for new Ahsoka merchandise. Excitingly, this post was shared on the Star Wars Leaks subreddit. The listing not only showcased several fresh products connected to the upcoming show but also tantalizingly hinted at the inclusion of Anakin Skywalker in the series. The copy beneath each item urged fans to enrich their wardrobe with officially licensed Star Wars apparel, such as graphic tee shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies. Embrace an out-of-this-world style by adorning yourself with clothing featuring beloved Star Wars characters like Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Anakin Skywalker, Mon Mothma, and many others!

Although every other character listed has been officially revealed to be part of the Ahsoka series, it may not be as straightforward as it seems. It could be argued that listing a popular Star Wars character like Anakin is just a coincidence. However, this coincides with leaks from over a year ago, where even Dawson disclosed Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin on the new show. Interestingly, despite these leaks, Disney and Lucasfilm don't appear to be making much effort to stop them. Therefore, it would be more surprising if Anakin doesn't make an appearance, either through flashbacks or as Darth Vader himself.

It would feel completely out of place if Ahsoka doesn't include Anakin in some way. Ahsoka's history is closely connected to Anakin, as he was her Jedi master when she joined the order. Lucasfilm has not yet confirmed if Anakin will be making an appearance in Ahsoka. It is worth mentioning that the merchandise description seems to have been altered, excluding any mention of the character. However, it is important to note that this "rumor" is only unofficial in name. With leaks coming from actors and now from the modified merchandise description, fans of Christensen may want to prepare themselves for an emotional experience. The first two episodes of Star Wars: Ahsoka will be released on Disney Plus on August 23rd, 2023.
