A leaked report from Honkai: Star Rail unveils the upcoming version of the Trailblazer, which is set to be released in a future update. With over 30 playable characters available in Honkai: Star Rail, the Trailblazer serves as an introduction to the game, offering players their first permanent unit. Similar to Genshin Impact's Traveler, the Trailblazer is designed to be adaptable, allowing players to choose from a variety of classes and elements to optimize their team composition. Now, leaks are providing hints about the next iteration of the main character.

Honkai: Star Rail has introduced two versions of the Trailblazer, with one being unlocked through the game's story. The default Physical Destruction Trailblazer allows players to easily switch between single-target and AoE damage. The Fire Preservation Trailblazer, obtained by completing the Jarilo-IV story, serves as a tank unit with taunting abilities and AoE fire damage. However, the latest upgrade for the Trailblazer will reportedly transform it into a more supportive character.

According to a leak from prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat, the newest version of the Trailblazer will belong to the Imaginary element and follow the Harmony path, making it a support character for teams. The Trailblazer's Skill grants allies a "Blessing" buff, which triggers follow-up damage when allies use their Skills and Weakness Breaks. Additionally, the Harmony Trailblazer introduces a unique mechanic where enemies have a second Toughness bar that can be broken for bonus effects. Furthermore, the Trailblazer's Ultimate increases Break Effect for allies.

The Harmony Trailblazer's effects set them apart as a specialized unit that focuses on breaking weaknesses, making them an ideal partner for another recently released five-star character. Version 1.1's five-star character, Silver Wolf, shares a similar playstyle centered around Weakness Break. Her Skill allows her to impose elemental weaknesses on her party members. Introducing the newest Trailblazer as an Imaginary unit also helps to strengthen the element that currently has only three playable characters. However, no release date for the Imaginary Harmony Trailblazer has been confirmed.

The upcoming update for Honkai: Star Rail, version 1.3, will introduce several exciting new characters, including the Imaginary element character Imbibitor Lunae, the five-star Quantum character Fu Xuan, and the four-star character Lynx. Leaks have also revealed future character lineups for versions 1.4 and 1.5, featuring Topaz, Jingliu, Huohuo, and Argenti.
