A Genshin Impact fan has created an intriguing concept by merging the recently highlighted character Arlecchino with Kafka, a beloved character from Honkai: Star Rail. Both games share similar gameplay styles and have overlapping player bases, making it a common practice for skilled artists to combine their characters into unique concepts.
Arlecchino, featured in Genshin Impact, was initially introduced as one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers in the highly anticipated "A Winter Night's Lazzo" trailer released in July 2022. This particular trailer gained immense popularity among Genshin Impact fans, as it revealed the appearance of all the remaining Harbingers. As a result, it has become one of the most viewed videos on the game's official YouTube channel, amassing over 15 million views.
A Reddit user named RuisuHaya shared a captivating fan-art featuring a fusion of two popular characters, Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail and Arlecchino from Teyvat's world. This fan-art has received a significant amount of attention, accumulating over 900 upvotes on Genshin Impact's official subreddit. Fans have particularly praised RuisuHaya's meticulous attention to detail. Both Kafka and Arlecchino are currently trending within their respective game communities. In a recent Genshin Impact story teaser, it was confirmed that Arlecchino will be one of the main antagonists in the upcoming Fontaine nation. Consequently, numerous fans hope that Arlecchino will eventually become a playable character.
Most reliable sources predict that Arlecchino will indeed become a playable character in Genshin Impact as the main storyline in the Hydro nation gradually concludes. Players expect a similar progression as they witnessed with Wanderer during the Sumeru's Archon Quest. Initially, Wanderer, also known as Scaramouche and The Balladeer, served as one of the primary villains in Sumeru. However, the developers at HoYoverse decided to switch his allegiance and added him to the playable character roster.
Despite being known as an Electro user, Wanderer is equipped with an Anemo Vision, indicating that Arlecchino's playable version could differ significantly from her villain form. While Arlecchino's playability and release date remain a mystery, HoYoverse has confirmed that Kafka will be a new character arriving in the second phase of the upcoming update 1.2.
Players will need to wait a few more weeks since Phase 2 is scheduled to release around August 8. In terms of her abilities, Kafka is anticipated to be a formidable sub-DPS unit capable of applying multiple debuff effects to enemies, allowing the main DPS to land the final blow.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
