The Version 1.4 Special Program shared exciting news about the upcoming update, including new characters and events. The update will introduce Topaz, Jingliu, and Guinaifen as the latest characters, and showcase unique events such as "Aetherium Wars," where players can control the game's enemies. Star Rail has now announced another significant change for Version 1.4. Previously, HoYoverse had experimented with condensed updates, as seen in Genshin Impact's five-week patches after the release of the Sumeru region. Star Rail has followed a similar release cycle to Genshin Impact, with updates coming every six weeks. However, HoYoverse is now aiming to shorten the time between content updates.

As part of the reveals for Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.4 Special Program, the developer will announce the shortened cycle for the patch. According to an official update, Star Rail's Version 1.5 will only last for five weeks until November 15. This tight schedule marks the first time since the game's release in April that Star Rail has experimented with a shorter update cycle. Version 1.4's Special Program showcased a wide range of content coming to the game. Additionally, the update will feature the return of the "Planar Fissure" and "Realm of the Strange" events, which will offer double rewards for Planar Ornaments and Relics. The update will also include a new login rewards campaign. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.4 is set to launch on October 11.

As Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.4 approaches its launch, anticipation is already building for the RPG's next update in the HoYoverse. The upcoming Version 1.5 of Star Rail recently unveiled its featured characters, including Huohuo and Argenti as the game's highly-anticipated five-star characters, along with the addition of Hanya as a new four-star unit.
