Daisy Kent, the runner-up of season 28 of The Bachelor, recently shared her thoughts on her relationship with Bachelor Joey Graziadei.
During an appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast on April 2, Daisy, 25, admitted that she felt there was always something missing between them. She mentioned that despite their similarities, she felt like they were lacking a strong connection. Daisy confessed that she tried to force the relationship to work, but ultimately realized that there was a missing piece between them. In the end, she acknowledged that her instincts were right about their lack of true connection.
Daisy, who broke up with Joey, 28, herself during the season finale in March, remembered sensing something was wrong before the hometown dates.
She reflected, "At the final rose ceremony, when I saw him with Kelsey [Anderson], I could sense a connection between them. I had a feeling that it wasn't about me for a moment. I recall feeling that way." Daisy continued, "I ended up in tears and they both comforted me with a hug."
Daisy set aside her feelings about Joey and Kelsey, 25, who got engaged during the season finale, during hometowns.
She explained, "I think I kind of just blocked it out. Meeting the family went great. And then after that I was like, 'OK, that went so good.' But I didn't really get to talk to him. When you meet the family, you don't get to talk to him that much. And then going into our next day, I was just so filled with anxiety and it didn't feel like the excitement I had always felt when I was going to see him. Everything just started to physically hurt my whole body. I was just like, 'This doesn't feel right.'"

Before breaking up with Joey, Daisy informed Kelsey of her decision. In a first for Bachelor Nation, the two women traveled together to the proposal.
Daisy explained, "I spoke to Kelsey out of friendship. I knew they both cared about me, and I wanted them to know that I would be okay. I wanted to show my support and wish them happiness. Even though it was tough for me, I could still be happy for them."
Daisy mentioned that her conversation with Kelsey had more depth than what viewers saw on TV. They discussed their feelings, expressed support for each other, and acknowledged that the person they were interested in was different. Kelsey had been concerned about Daisy all week as she sensed that the person of interest was more aligned with her than Daisy.
Kelsey recently discussed the conversation on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast with Joey. When asked if the conversation "spoiled" Joey's proposal, Kelsey shared that initially, she was unsure about her feelings. However, she ultimately accepted that it was what happened.
Kelsey mentioned that Daisy had good intentions and described her as a wonderful woman. Joey, on the other hand, jokingly admitted that he may not have appreciated the conversation.
Many people believed that Daisy's honesty on the season finale would make her a great choice for the next Bachelorette. However, she surprised everyone by declining the offer during the After the Final Rose episode last month. (Instead, Jenn Tran, who was in Joey's final six, was revealed as the next season's leading lady.)

"I'm currently prioritizing the things and people that bring me joy. Right now, I'm not ready, and I'm okay with that," Daisy expressed. "I'm proud of myself for recognizing this."
On Tuesday, Daisy mentioned that she can envision herself as the main participant on a dating show in the future.
“Right now it’s just not a good time for me to do something like that,” she explained. “But I loved being on the show and I had such a great experience.”
